Floyd shoulder roll is pretty much impregnable. That's if you stand in a front of him and try to trade. The key to beating the shoulder roll is with movement, because when you move, you give him more angles to defend. What happens (this is the reason I feel Shane is gonna get crushed by Floyd) is that fighters such as Oscar, Zab and others stand in front of him, planted there feet, and try to exchange with Floyd. Floyd then plants his feet and got into his shoulder roll defense.
The key, and where I think Manny excels in, is moving and trying to turn Floyd and not let him set his feet (if he sets his feet that's when he gets into his shoulder roll defense). Whenever Floyd faces movement, his defense goes from the shoulder roll to both gloves up and trying to block with gloves. That's when he is open for a lot of punches. If he is in the shoulder roll defense, the fighter should be think 1 or maybe 1-2, then out or to the side. When he does that high guard defense, then he is open to a few punches... but I'll spit that knowledge later on if the fight gets made.

I don't know man, I'm more concerned with Floyd's jab than the ****in' shoulder roll. If PAC can't get past the jab then Floyd wouldn't have to get into shoulder roll mode.
Worked the angles when fighting Floyd and feints and PAC needs to get busy with his jab.Comment

The shoulder roll can be beaten by throwing an overhand right (overhand left in southpaw) aiming for the temples. The roll only protects the chin. the problem is someone like Floyd will incorporate the roll with head movement so will move away from a shot to the temples too. I don't think Floyd will roll too much V Pacman (or it will not be as influential to the outcome of the fight) as he is fighting a southpaw and will try use his feet to evade the left hand.Comment

I don't think that would help as normally the roll goes a bit towards the right and is used to block a right hand. When you throw th right and then the left hook after, the roll will already be tucked in and you will never have enough force to open it up. That hook would be better used going for body or solar plexus.

Don't worry about the shoulder roll. Pacquiao has to be ready for the countering Floyd will do and he has to able to adapt to Floyd's changes in the ring. I don't know if u can teach that. Pacquiao's natural boxing IQ has to strengthen.Comment

I dunno, I think Roach is a little past his prime. I think Mayweather could probably take him out.Comment
