    worst LUCK?

He failed to make weight in his first fight at 135 and then REFUSED to fight. He has backed out of fights against Michael Katsidis and Alex Arthur.

LUCK has nothing to do with it, the dude ***ED himself. I don't even know why anybody would sign to fight him. He just pulls out of fights and then they get no pay check and waste a bunch of money and dissapoint fans.

Guzman is a talented fighter and I used to be a huge fan of his, but he's let me down a bunch of times and he's lost my respect.

Guzman is a lucky man to be getting a shot at a belt, should be a good fight.

His mistake no doubt, but it's not like he planned on blowing his shot.. Again, this was entirely his fault and should (and did) take full blame for that. No excuses there.

He has backed out of fights against Michael Katsidis and Alex Arthur.
Nope, sorry. Both the fights had some bull**** happen. With Arhur there was the VISA issue then Frank Warren postponed the fight, not giving a guzman a time frame, which led to Guzman challenging Nate Campbell instead.

With Katsidis he broke his hand and they never were able to reschedule.

Further, he had a verbal agreement to fight Pacquiao in Canada right after Soto, then Bob Arum decided against it.

It's not like Arthur and Katsidis would have beat him, those were easy ass fights for Guzman. The pacquiao fight would have been his big payday, but obviously arum didn't like it for whatever reasons.

LUCK has nothing to do with it, the dude ***ED himself.
His biggest mistake was not making weight against Campbell, and he paid the price big time for it. Not making weight unfortunately happens in boxing from time to time, Guzman isn't the only one (although on this site he's treated like he is). And, if you've followed Guzman's career you know that early on he was getting f ucked big time by his managers and had a series of unfortunate things to occur. Things started to get better with new management recently, and he fucked that up not making weight but even after that, he had a title fight set up which would have occured last month, all sides agree to fight then the IBF steps in and says, nope sorry, we're going to honor the Oklahoma suspension so that fight got scratched as well.

As I said, pretty bad luck.

Oh ****, this came out of nowhere. I thought he was gonna sign some copromotion deal with Top Rank and eventually fight Valero, but this would be even better. If Guzman wins, he's looking at the #1 spot at 140 and because of his messed up hands and lack of power drawing Ricky Hatton to want a schooling. If he wins this, he's the ****ing man.
