Teenage white kids need some boxers to look up to, guys like Kelly Pavlik who give hope to a Youngstown community in bad economic times. Other than Pavlik there is no one else to look up to. White youths have all those white UFC fighters and can relate to them. They in a way can associate with those fighters and where they came from. That is something they cannot do with hispanic or european fighters who dont speak english.

this is funny but true. but I think it is because boxing is a poor man's game. and at the moment, most poor ppl are **********. They need this to get themselves out of poverty. I can't imagine White trailer park kids going to boxing gyms.

honestly, i think it's more about the personality of the champs. i don't think pacquiao or cotto would be any more popular then they are if they were white. boxing just needs a good looking cat that can advertise/draw attention. i remember my whole block didn't really like boxing, but they were all hot for vargas when he was comin up.

Yeah White Americans along with all other Americans Blacks, Hispanics are dooing pretty poorly, been like that for a while though

Also there are plenty of great Caucasian fighters, almost all of the champs over junior middle are white, just not American. You should make the distinction, American Whites

White kids don't have the speed, toughness, and inner strength needed for pro boxing , that's why kids from latin american and blacks, kick their ass 95% of the time whenever they fight...
Eastern Euro whites like the Klits, and euros, like Calzaghe, and froch are a lot tougher than American whites...
