exactly, cotto is too big for pac. for the fight to be fair, cotto must sacrifice for the catchweight, he can still hydrate himself up to MW on fight night. if he don't wanna do that then walk and fight mosley.

      lols... jmm is pac's left-overs

yes, pbf (a WW) should fight Cotto and Mosley (WWs).

exactly!!! mofos think pac is a bonafide WW!!! pac officially weighed 142 lbs against dlh.

exactly!!! if they wanna fight the little man they gotta make 142 lbs, or walk.

      agree on all points

145 is not reasonable. Cotto and Mosley are MW on fight night and Pac is a WW on fight night. Cotto and Mosley must sacrifice on the catchweight to make the fight fair.

      - 1 of 2 to have 6 titles in 6 different divisions
      - only person to have 4 lineal titles
      - beat morales 3x
      - beat jmm 2x
      - beat mab 2x
      - only person to KO morales
      - only person to knockdown jmm 4x
      - 1 of 2 to stop mab
      - 1 of 2 to stop DLH
      - 1 of 2 to stop Hatton
      - beat DLH worst than Floyd
      - KOed Hatton faster than Floyd
      - fought from 106 lbs all the way to 147 (actually 142) lbs

pac's legacy is already impressive and cemented. wins over Cotto and Mosley would just be icing on the cake and aren't necessary.

roach said the fight with dlh at 147 lbs was a one time deal

what's also not greatness is for cotto (a MW on fight night) to call out pac (a WW on fight night) without sacrificing some weight on the official scales to level the playing field.

roach said 2 fights then pac retires. there's nothing left for him to do.

      - roach said 147 lbs for dlh was a one time deal

because he knew that dlh loosing all the weight and him being old would hurt him

      - pac officially weighed 142 lbs against dlh. when was the last time cotto weighed 142 lbs?

i'm not talking about what Pacman weighed in you and i know he weighed on fight night nore than that, I'm taliking about the wight limit for his opponent and how he won't do that with Cotto

      - pac officially weighed 138 lbs against hatton just a few weeks ago. when was the last time cotto weighed 138 lbs.

So what, he weighed in 135 against David Diaz and still fought a guy that has fought at 160lbs 6 months later a 147, once again, why not with Cotto at 145???

      - pac is too small for cotto and if cotto wants the fight he must agree to 142 to level the playing field.

De La Hoya is bigger than Cotto and they fought at 147, once again why not with Cotto at 145???

      - roach doesn't even want pac campaigning at WW.

So he should stop asking for WW to come down in weight. Pacquiao can continue to fight at 140 and he would still for me be the best. He has nothing to prove but don't come and brag about welter weights when you don't want to fight in a WW weight limit.

Bottomline 147 lbs was a catchweight for DLH to come down one division to and Pac to come up 2 divisions for. if cotto wanna fight pac he's gonna have to come down to an agreeable catchweight.

Roach is willing to make the fight if the playing field is level.
Roach is just willing level the field to his side. What Cotto has publically agreed to, is a better level of playing field than Pacman-De La Hoya. A guy smaller than De La Hoya with a smaller weight limit (145 lbs), once again, why not with Cotto at 145???

The only excuse for Pacman's camp to not use the same conditions that they used with De La Hoya is that they fear that Pacman might be in danger of loosing against Cotto under the same conditions.
Keep in mind that it was Pacman's Camp who mentioned Cotto's name saying that they would fight Cotto instead of FMJ. True that Arum started the offer, but it was Pacman's camp who publically reacted. If you call out a boxer fight him at his weight if not shut up!!! Even when called out Cotto agreed to fight at a lower wight (145) which is giving the importance that Pacquiao deserves but that doesn't mean that even if you are THE MAN IN BOXING (like Pacman is right now) you don't have to take your pants down and let him screw you, by going down to 142 lbs.

Only an idiot won't see the obvious disparity.
thats not the point should Pac be asking a fighter to weight drain himslfe just becaues he is a bigger man when no one in the top 50 ATG list ever when moveing up in weight ask for a ridiculous catchweight that would result in the bigger man in that weight division to become weight drain, when one fighter is fighting at his best and the other fighting the affects of weight drain?

Good job, by Cotto. This is a smart move.

The **** with team Pacquiao BS catch weights, to get people at unhealthy weights.

No I will want to see, WTF Aum will do, because the 2 biggest money fights fro Pacquiao ae at 147, Cotto and FLoyd. And If you want to throw Mosley in there.

After FLoyd vs JMM. It should be Floyd-Cotto and Pacquiao-JMM 3. the **** with the catchweights.

Again, smart move by Cotto. He can still fight, Mosley 2, Cheato rematch, Berto and Floyd.

No one should be weight drained, it makes a mockery of boxing. We have more than enough weight divisions as it is. The only reason it made sense for Mayweather to fight at catchweight was because his fans keep claiming that Floyd is a natural Jnr Welterweight. Clearly Floyd disagrees with his fans and thinks he'd be weight drained at catchweight, which is fair enough, but in that case he should be fighting a Welterweight and should not be fighting Marquez. Cotto's fans on the other hand have never claimed he's a natural Jnr Welterweight, and it would be a farce if he fought at catchweight. Pac should fight Marquez, or move up to 147 if he really wants to fight a Welterweight.
