  • wtf lol

Man some of these comments about weight are too funny!

This is what's going to happen.

Cotto will fight Clottey and look like a beast. Roach and Pac will no way in hell let Cotto come in the ring that big/strong. They will want him less than 100%. Yet some PEOPLE are calling this FAIR????? IDIOTS I tell ya! Cotto will have no part in coming in the ring weight drained, in which Pac and Roach will want him at if they have any chance at TRYING to even think in ANY WAY to WIN the fight. FAIR is letting BOTH guys fight at 100%. If Cotto is too big and Pac is too small than **** IT! It dont need to happen......

Cotto is BEAST. Roach and Pac BOTH know this. The fight wont happen if Cotto cant weigh 145-147 the day before the fight. Which means fight night Cotto will be an even BIGGER ****ING BEAST compared to the great little man PAC. He will DESTROY Pac if he comes in 100% AKA fighting at 150+ fight night. Fair is BOTH guys fighting 100%. If you think that is UNFAIR then you shouldnt be promoting the fight! To make it clear I am not for Mayweather JMM either......

Pac and Roach should be looking at PBF's left overs (again) JMM in a trilogoy. At least get it out of the way so people stop talking about it.
Mayweather needs to STOP with Pac (right now) and go after Cotto and/or Mosley..... FIRST! He's not "ducking" he's "MONEY" Mayweather he's doing what he's ALWAYS done. Looking for the money. Well I think Cotto and Mosley would bring him a pay day. Leave it to HBO to pay him his cash!

All this talk about Pac....WTF... Pac is great but when Mayweather, Cotto, Mosley, or even Pwill is talked about, Pac shouldn't EVEN be in the same sentence. IF YOU THINK HE SHOULD BE.... Then you must admit Pac should fight at 145+...... until then leave LITTLE MAN out. He dont need them and they dont need him. Its only MONEY that's making sense here and "for the love of money is the root of all evil".

These damn promoters want Pac because like Mayweather he's a money train (right now).... EVERYONE wants to jump a board.......

All this catchweight bull**** is getting really old though......

What should happen later this year: (assuming PBF beats JMM)
Mayweather VS the winner of Cotto VS Mosley II
    Pac VS JMM III

and to throw it out there
Dawson VS Johnson II and/or Hopkins

Never said Cotto/Mosley would get credit either. These fights don't make sense to me at all, but if they were to happen I would want them at a reasonable weight and 145 is reasonable for both parties. Pac's legacy of skipping weights is set in stone, yes. Who are his best wins though? Barrera 1, a controversial win over JMM that many feel JMM won, and possibly Hatton for the manner of victory. The names on paper sound great, but in reality the wins themselves are not. If Pac beats Cotto or Mosely at 145, though, now that would be impressive and really cement his legacy for me.

pac should just retire then he fought oscar 147 but wont fight a smaller guy in cotto at 147 cuz hes in his prime thats not greatness, pac retire or go to 135 cant severly handicap people and say he beat the best as if they werent handicapped, lets not kid ourselves, if not welterweights then theres nothing left for pac .

        • Ok people lets stick to the facts:

On 06/28/2008 Pacman fought David Diaz at 135lb
On 12/06/2008 (not even six months later) Pacman agreed to fight De La Hoya at a limit 147 lbs.

On 05/02/2009 Pacman fights Hatton at a wieght limit of 140 lbs.

          Question:

If on a 6 month period he accepted to fight a guy that has fought in 160 lbs(De La Hoya) in a weight limit 147 lbs match, while coming himself from a 135 lbs match (moving up 2 weight classes), Why can he not fight in that same weight limit of 147 (actually Cotto said 145) in the same 6 month period, while only needing to move up 1 weight class (or as Cotto has agreed 5 lbs more)?????

Bottom line Pacquiao accepted to Fight an old De La Hoya at a weight limit of 147 coming from 135 lbs limit fight But wont fight Cotto at 145 limit coming from 140 lbs limit fight. Doesn't make sense and has no excuses.

I Beleive it is Pacquiao who actually doesn't want the fight.

they need pac more. pac is the MAN to beat.

roach says pac has basically 2 fights left. pbf and jmm then retire. pac don't need to go up to 147, his legacy is secure.

cotto and mosley will get absolutely zero credit form me for beating pac at anything above 142 lbs.

yep, because basically it comes down to that same argument. Pac is too small for Cotto and Mosley and if they wanna fight Pac they have to come down to 142 lbs to make the fight fair. if they don't like it then they should walk and fight each other.

I respect all of your opinions, even vaborikua who hates me for no good reason. I'd like to see those fights happen because they are good fights, but they must be fought on a level playing field. If Cotto and Mosley can balloon up to MW, then they must sacrifice and get down to 142 lbs. Pac is a small dude, he only weighed 138 lbs against hatton just a couple weeks ago. It's not fair to demand that pac fight two beats like cotto and mosley at 147 lbs where both can get as big as MW.
Then we'd basically be taking from Pacs merits as a champion , i think Pac has a possibility of beating Cotto dont get me wrong im a die hard Cotto fan but im realistic . So when u say its not fair and when any body say's it it just adds to Pacs legacy but when the excuses start flying its hard to to elevate him and consider him in the P4P list of ATG's!

the JMM 1 tech should of gone to pac if the judge scored it accordingly correct? the 2nd fight was close and could of gone either way. how can you say the majority of pacs wins were not impressive. if JMM wants to beat pac. tell him to stop getting dropped. hahha JMM is a great fighter but i just dont like how he never shows humility or class. who has he beat? on paper it looks good to. but against who. we can say that bout any fighter.

But also it's not fair for Cotto fighting at 142 when he was having a lot of problem when he was there, that't why he move up. But Pac had a great performance with a great fighter like Oscar in 147, why he don't want to try again? Oh, I know, Roach knew that oscar would have problem going down and he wants to do the same with Cotto. So they shouldn't not fight at all, Pac should fight Marquez win or lose in his next fight, those 2 fights were really close and i think Marquez won at least one.

Co-sign ! Pacs camp doesnt want the fight , Roach just wants to manipulate the weight process and make easy fights for Manny.

                    • I give Miguel Cotto a lot of credit for standing firm on his principles
and not compromising his health to make Manny Pacquiao look
great. If Freddie Roach really wants the Welter Weights then
Manny should be fighting them at their natural weight. If Manny
can't hang with the big boys then he should just stick to his
                      weight division.
