Most of Mayweather's fights at Lightweight and below were very exciting; even his fight against Gatti was entertaining. I doubt very much whether Mayweather-Pac would be boring. Mayweather-Marquez is much more likely to be boring than Mayweather-Pac, because of the fact that Marquez is a technical counter-puncher.

AFAIR Roach said catchweight but didn't specify what weight he had in mind - I don't remember him specifying that it had to be "near the JWW division". When Salud subsequently said he wanted Pac to fight Cotto next, he didn't specify the weight at all. I don't think Arum said anything about the weight either. But I don't see why Cotto shouldn't respond to Arum and Salud calling for the fight by saying "if you want to make the fight, this is the weight I'm willing to fight at, and if Pac doesn't want to fight at that weight, no problem, I'll fight someone else." If Pac doesn't want to fight at that weight, no problem, he, too, can fight someone else. In terms of what's best for the ealth of boxing though, I think it should be at 147 or not happen at all.
