Mosley is the no. 1 ranked Welterweight, and returned to form in a big way against Margarito. Cotto is the no. 2, and a rematch would be for the Ring/lineal title. You may not particularly want to see the issue of who's the number 1 Welterweight properly settled in the ring, but I know I'm not the only one who's very keen to see it. And I think it would be different from the first fight, and more exciting, because both fighters have something to prove, and because of Mosley's return to form. What's wrong with boxing is that the top fighters in the divisions aren't fighting each other, and there are no clear champions in most divisions, including Welterweight.
As for people not wanting to see fights that have already happened, what about the clamour for Pac-Marquez III or Rafa-Vasquez IV? What about the great series between Ray Robinson and La Motta, Ali and Frazier, Graziano and Zale, Pep and Saddler? It's rivalries like that which make boxing such a great sport.
