All those fight were all easy picking after he fought Tsyzu...He was never the best boxer in the UK but he got all the credit in the world over here when the real skilled boxers like Joe Calzaghe didnt.

AGREED...Warren creation... The only reason Hatton even got to share the same ring w/ PBF AND PAC was because of his fan base...If hatton was born in Jersey he would have been a ESPN FNF fighter!

the difference is that hatton was trying to make big fights and was willing to cross the pond and calz was scared to death to step outside the village limits to make a fight.

also, but more likely the situation is that hatton is more charismatic than calz.

He was a 2 weight champ because the WBA invented the regular belt to get a 2nd sanctioning fee. The real WBA champion was Ricardo Mayorga. He is just a 1 weight world champion.

I view him as a very good fighter, a good champion, not an ATG, who may have in 2005 and 2006 been in the lower half of the top 10 p4p fighters for a while, but eventually lost his punch resistance and got beat by two obviously better fighters. His win over a past prime Tszyu was his greatest achievement. Make no mistake however prime Tszyu would have tore him up even worse than Mayweather. Probably not as bad as Pacquaio, but then that fight wasn't really a proper exhibition of what Hatton could do (other than use the exact opposite tactic to what he should have done.. Oh yeah, and I still think Pacquaio beats him prime vs prime).

- castillo was a gimme / set-up fight for floyd
- mausa was a former 140 lbs titlist (crazy as that is)
- malignaggi was the #1 contender at 140 and former 140 lbs titlist
