I mean even the knockout was sudden, whereas against pacquiao it was clear the boy was gonna get stopped.

I agree, Hatton's opponents has different style and has difference in terms of punching power. Pac KO punch was very much like more powerful than pbf.

Was it because of sheer power? was it the style? the plan? the timing? the confidence? the camp? maybe all was perfect for pacquiao.

One thing is for sure.! its not the "punch resistance" its pretty vague.

Was Ricky just a British Hype Job?
yes, hatton was a hype job in the sense that he was an elite p4p fighter, but he was definitely the lineal and undisputed champ of 140.

Bottom line he was a CLEAR Frank Warren creation...What was his best win vs a SHOT Tzyou and J.L. Castillo. At 47 Collazo beat him but got robbed, lazcano would have KO'd em had the ref not saved him with that shoelace nonsense,He barely got passed a limited Urango, so who else did he beat? He stepped up to world class prime fighters like PBF and PAC and simply got outclassed.

                  How can:

A 2 weight World champ, Linear and Ring for 5 years, who beat 2 guy's who were ranked top 10 P4P by Ring (The industry standard P4P list) when he fought them, who lost twice to guy's ranked P4P No1 but noone else.

                  Be a hype job?

                  Honestly, is that even possible?

SIMPLE...A world-class fighter DOES NOT step up to world class prime fighters and in 12 rounds lose 11 of those rounds and get BADLY KO'd twice!

His best win was a SHOT Tyszu and J.L. Castillo. Other than that who he beat?

He outboxed urango who proved he is very dangerous at 140.

There is no shame in being outclassed by the best of an era.

At least he fought them, what do you want him to do, stay in manchester beating jon thaxtons then claiming to be an atg like calzaghe?
