Hatton's defeat to Mayweather was way more demoralising and damaging than the quick KO by Pacquiao..

not according to hatton. you should know this j

Well 140 is Hatton's best weight. That's was one of the excuses when he lost to Floyd, and looked terrible vs Collazo. He's not a welterweight, he's undefeated at 140, blah blah blah. Pacquiao fought Hatton at the weight where Hatton was undefeated, most comfortable, and reigning champ.

I'm a Floyd fan and a Pacquiao fan. I'm not too big on compating their performances but if anything, I think Pacquiao fought Hatton in a better weight class for Hatton. But Mayweather probably fought a more confident Hatton because he was undefeated and all.

manny being smaller (first time at jww), 'one dimensional', and with sr.. i think it's safe to say that hatton was more confident in the pac fight than pbf

However...I've been watching this sport for a long time. And I've had discussions with others that have been observers of this sport for 20 or 30 years and I think that this fight is more evenly matched than many believe.

Mayweather just doesn't throw enough punches nowadays and I truly think he'll have trouble dealing with Pacquiaos work rate, speed and awkwardness.

You don't beat this version of Pacquiao without a high work rate, steel chin or ugly clutching defense (one or two punches and clutch).

Marquez has had some success but took chances in order to land and got knocked down 4 times. Mayweather isn't that type of guy. He will most likely employ the latter (one or two punches and clutch).

Judah gave him problems in their fight but couldn't keep up the pressure and faded midway through the fight. Pacquaio won't have that problem.

Eventually Mayweather will be forced to stand and fight and we all know what happens when Pacquiao goes toe to toe with guys.

I like Pacquaio to win this fight by KO or TKO if it ends up getting made.

The most sensible post so far, I'll read on...

If he took an all comers he wouldn't have been so **** scared of a marquez rematch that he had to wait a few years, and then we never saw a trilogy when it finally did happen coz Arum had a log in his undies

Coming from a guy who just started watching boxing last year. tsk tsk tsk...

Everybody here knew, including Marquez' ass wipers and Floyd's nut lickers that Marquez priced himself out of an immediate rematch. He was offered $750K and asked for $1.5M were the total purse budget for the rematch was $1.5M??? Then went to Indonesia, got his ass kicked all the same for a measly $30,250? WTF?!?

Margo's defense is his granite chin, he's slow-footed and plodding, no side-to-side movements, deliberate and almost predictable because he will be there all night long, which is the exact opposite of Pacman.

You thick bastard, if I started watching boxing last year then how on earth would I havce seen the two fights? Also, how on earth would I know that Pacman has already been knocked out twice lol. Your karma message was gay, as I'm not really a Floyd fan. You balut eating inbred son of a *****, I'm merely stating the obvious! i know you think he is the second coming because the next best thing you have in journeyman Espinosa, but he simply isn't good enough to beat Floyd Joy Mayweather Jr. Just watch his first fight with Morales to see how he gets schooled by a boxer who still has a chin. Plus Mayweather is much bigger than Eric and has a much better defence. In the last round, Morales basically said come on I'll turn southpaw let's see what you do, and all Pac did was throw straight flurries. And if Freddy Roach is a mircalce worker then how come he has failed with every other big name he has worked with? (Tyson, Oscar, Hopkins)
