Since you've been surfing this forum a lot, there's a lot of threads that says Freddie Roach wants them weight drained, like a Cotto/Mosley fight against Pacquiao at a catch weight (143/144). Benny Leonard said there's no honor in beating an "unhealthy" opponent, beating them at a catch weight has no substance. Freddie knows his ****, if he can get the other boxer suffer before the fight, half of the battle is already won. Make them fight the scales first, and Freddie doesn't want Pacman to be outweighed by his opponent by double digits. I suggested a same day weigh-in for Freddie to agree to a welterweight fight, since both boxers still have to make 147 at some point before the fight to make it a legitimate welterweight fight, then you started mouthing off my post and got a hard on me?
Like what I said, give your suggestions to make this fight amenable for both sides to agree on for them to make the fight happen Einstein...Last edited by gopi11; 05-17-2009, 01:53 AM.

I've been saying that weigh in weight and fight night weight are relative.
By your logic. It wouldnt matter what weight floyd and Pac fought at because they will both come in at 147-148 on fight night even if the fight was signed as a heavyweight bout.
Tell me though....If they fought at 140. What do you think each guy will weigh at the official weigh in?? Pac = 138 Floyd=140.
How bout if they fought at 147? Pac will weigh in no more than 142 for the official weigh in while Floyd will weigh in at 147 on the dot.
WHY?!?!?!? If they're both going to weigh in at about 147-148 on fight night they should have been roughly about the same weight during official weighins too right?? but they wont because THERE IS a size difference.

If you have come across some of my previous posts, I said Pacquiao is in a no-win situation. If he decides to settle at 140, cleans up the division and retire, there will still be bashers and haters out there masquerading as writers/scribes/boxing pundits that he ducked Cotto/Mosley/Floyd at 147. They been calling out Pacquiao, is there an unwritten rule out there that any current # 1 P4P should take on all comers (where there's a clamor from fight fans on what fight/fights they want to witness), give up all concessions to the other camp, and fight them at their own weight class? Like I said, they need Pacman more than Pacman needs them. For whatever reasons they have to be the next to get a fight with Manny, be it to strengthen their respective legacies or to fatten their bank accounts. There's got to be some sort of an equalizer here, a catch weight or a same day weigh-in are some of the suggestions here, I suggested for the same day weigh-in. if Cotto and Mosley doesn't agree, then they should stop dreaming that they can get Manny to fight them. One even went to the extent by begging on air via SportsCenter, not that he deserves a payday, but he should have find one that fights in his division where he rules. Challenging a rematch with Cotto could be a nice start...Last edited by gopi11; 05-17-2009, 02:14 AM.

If Floyd and Pac fought each other in a HW fight yes they would both come in around 147-149 which is there best fight weight , they have both been coming a few pd around that weight across many divisions , because they who they are , they dont shrink they manipulate water in there system to make lower divisions then they put back that water to make optimum fight weight for them , across 3 divisions they are withing 4 pd of this weight every fight .
Some fighters can dry out a lot more than others , we dont all hold water the same and an expert like your self should know that , again you show what you dont know .
