If you're ranked #1 by most boxing experts, you are the man to beat. And you're exagerating in any case - since the Calzaghe fight he's won an alphabet title, defended it against a mandatory and is about to defend it against another. It's not his fault that the WBA rankings stink, it's not his fault that every name he called out last year (including Taylor) said they weren't interested, and it's not his fault that his promoter is crap and has him over a barrel. He's now in court trying to get out of his contract. But he's still ranked #1 by The Ring, which means he's still ranked #1 by the majority of boxing experts. And he's beaten a lot more top ten ranked fighters overall than either Bute or Froch have. And he looked far more impressive against Andrade than Bute did.Comment

Froch on his way to being the MAN!
Man I'm liking Froch more and more. The dude gots my respect. If he goes and fights Bute in his home court and wins I will become an all out fan.
I hope he stays in the gym though.....
Froch the "new road warrior"! I know he's going to hold that over Joe Calzaghe's head. He is on the right path to making Joe's little WBO legacy look like doo doo brown!
If Froch beats BUTE by a killer UD or KO he can then talk all he wants and I will only agree. I just hope Kessler is on the list. As of now I think Kessler would beat him BUT I see Froch getting a lot better while Kessler's hanging out with his "freinds" that he can't fight.....Comment

Edit - it's okay I've just found one. But it's weird that the boxingscene article missed that part of the interview out! It was the same interview that the boxingscene article was covering, but they edited that bit out!

The winner of the Bute-Froch fight, if it happens, is the no1 in the division. Too many boxers get props for doing nothing. We should only respect the boxers that try to make fights and face a challenge.Comment

The only post-Taylor-fight quote I've seen to that effect was today's interview, and the boxingscene article edited out that section of the interview for some weird reason, so I didn't know about it until I read the full interview on another web site, which I hadn't done when I wrote that post.
And in the same interview, Froch said Hennessey is in talks with Kessler's camp, so we'll see.
Previously I had been going on the fact that in the interview after the Taylor fight he was asked if he wanted to fight Kessler but ignored the question and changed the subject, but if you look at my last post before this one you'll see that I did give Froch props for calling out Kessler, as soon as I realised he had done so.Comment
