Froch vs. Bute in The Works For Unification Bout

According to WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch, negotiations are ongoing for a unification showdown with IBF champion Lucian Bute. Several names have been discussed for Froach's next fight and Bute appears to be the frontrunner. The fight would take place in the fall. [details]

Massive props to him for trying to make this fight, and for being willing to fight in Canada, but I'd have more respect for him if he wasn't keeping so quiet about Kessler. Since he beat Taylor, his silence about Kessler has been deafening.

I think Bute-Froch is another 50/50 fight, BTW, like Taylor-Froch was - and for similar reasons - look how Bute got tagged late against Andrade. Plus I think Froch will fight the early rounds better this time, as he seemed to be overwhelmed by the occasion in the first 4 rounds against Taylor, and fought those rounds below his normal standards.

I love Froch's attitude man. so refreshing, but I don't love his chances in this fight. He doesn't put the kind of pressure that Andrade does and Bute can box like a mub. Bute by decision.

Why call out Kessler? He's fighting barbers from Siberia. Kessler lost ALL of his goodwill/props with his recent promotional problems.

I think Bute pulls this one out for sure.

The promotional problems were not his fault, and he is still easily the #1 rated Super Middleweight. No one else can claim to be the world champion until they have beaten him. It's not about props it's about who's the better fighter. Kessler >>>> Bute.

Although very par, i'm liking froch! The guy is going out there and trying to make a statement by leaving home and TAKING belts from other champs! Complements to these two if this fight gets made.

Froch has got a great attitude but he seriously needs to sort out his defence! Its almost non existant.
