i would like to thank carl froch for not waiting till he's in his mid to late 30s to use his passport to do his job & not waiting until big fighters are in their early 40s to fight big fights.

Bute by UD. There is no quit in Froch so even if he is way behind on the cards he'll go for the big KO in the 12th yet i think Bute learned his lesson in the Andrade fight and will fight smarter in the championship rounds

Great fight if it's made. At the moment I've got Bute by decision, but if Froch is disciplined and stays behind his jab-straight combination, I can see him wearing down Bute. Robert McCracken needs to drill it into Froch's head that he can't get away with wild, jumping uppercuts or haymaker hooks at this level. If he doesn't learn that, he will get countered like against Taylor early in the fight and unlike against Taylor, a better finisher will put him away - despite his great chin. Shots you don't see coming can take you out of there no matter how tough you are.

I might change my mind later on mind, depending on the attitude I hear from Froch. If he acknowledges his faults, then I have him correcting them and stopping Bute late - with the scorecards being surprisingly level at the point of stoppage, because while Froch's jab is neither quick nor that accurate, it does have thud behind it and it backs up fighters even when they block it.

Froch acknowledged his mistakes against Pascal, after the Pascal fight, and said that he wouldn't repeat them against Taylor - but he did. In particular, he said that he would be sure to get his hands up immediately when he'd just thrown a combination, while he was retreating back out of range, against Taylor. But he apparently forgot all his good intentions once the fight started - which McCracken was mad at him for. So I guess we'll just have to see what happens in the fight, I don't think you can set too much store by what he says he'll do.

I think Froch-Bute is a pick 'em fight, though.
