Pacquiao's Adviser Prefers Cotto Next, Not Mayweather

I give Cotto props for fighting Mosley and Margarito and now taking
on Clottey but at 147 what has he really accomplished? He hasn't
beat any fighter for a title. Floyd beat the least amount of fighters
and got the biggest achievement at 147. He became the Lineal champ,
Cotto still hasn't done that. Aside from Mosley and Margarito
Cotto's resume at 147 is not that much more impressive than floyd's.
They share Judah, Cotto has two gift wins on his resume, Gomez/Jennings.
He beat Ortay Urkal. Plus he lost to Antonio margarito, so the only thing
he has over Floyd is the fact that he fought and BEAT Shane Mosley.
Sharmba Mitchell is a better win than Ortay Urkal. Clottey will make the
difference. If Cotto beats Clottey CONVINCINGLY I will ease up on him
but I haven't seen anything that really impresses me about Cotto besides
his power/pressure but once neutralized the fight becomes hard for him.
He does have a decent jab but the lack of a solid defensive game plan
and that fact that he can't adjust very well leaves a lot of questions
unanswered.

Everytime Cotto tries to Unify OR goes to fight someone with a belt what happens? the other gets stripped, is it his fault this happens? Also, the Gomez fight was bull****, he just took it to keep defending his title because there was nobody out there that would fight him, who else in the welterweight division right now that can he beat to be able to impress people? NOBODY, Cotto already went thru top dogs, yeh he do got Clottey, and a rematch wit Mosley, other than that he is on top, no dont mention Floyd, he still fighting lightweights. OK, lets put it this way, FROM NOW ON, lets see who fights who in WELTERWEIGHT and see what happens? Lets see if Mayweather fights a Welter Elite and win. Honestly after Clottey, nobody else is as tough, maybe in the future Berto or others will step up, but lets just see, lets stop talkin **** about this and that one and see what happens from now on. If Mayweather fights bull**** fights then u cant give him Respect. But we will see.

Oh and Jennings was just a Tune-Up, just like Mayweather-Marquez... though Jennings was a natural welterweight.

I want him to fight Mayweather next but if he doesn't it will have to be Mosley and I've been wanting to see this fight for a longtime. I think the Cotto boys should be shaking in their boots because Pac is not playing around.

Are you serious? What did Floyd lie about? He is NOT marketable in Vegas (this is where the big money fights are made). Before he fought Margs he was an unwanted man in Vegas (yes he fought in Vegas but NO ONE cared). He didnt own a promotional company (never heard of this but I answered it anyway). And he refuses to call Floyd out. Remember he leaves it ALL to Arum to pick his opponents. Even JMM had the balls to call Floyd out!! Be honest with yourself. The biggest threat to Manny is a highly skilled fighter. They saw that in the JMM fights. The most hoghly skilled fighter out there is FMJ. The difference between FMJ and JMM is that Floyd wouldn't be eating punches like Marquez, and Floyd wouldn't be knocked down.

Pacquiao is afraid of Mayweather. He feels that is a certain loss. I can understand why. But to run from a guy who just came off a 2 year layoff?

FMJ is afraid of Pac otherwise he should have waited a few hours for the Pac/Hatton results before annoucing his comeback.

However, FMJ does need a tuneup through JMM before Pac so that people wont be saying he's rusted after Pac wins

Mayweather who has an excellent defense and has mastered the art of dancing away from his opponent, is not so engaging as a boxer and would be a boring fight for all of us. And even if Manny wins (possibly on points), he may not look good to all boxing experts and fans. Pacquiao is known for his never-say-die attitude inside the ring as oppose to Mayweather's boring style anchored on defense and counter-punching. Pacman needs exciting opponents like Cotto and Mosley that would give the crowd their money's worth.

In other words your Cosigning Pacuiao's people giving the OK to
duck Mayweather Jr? So what if they think it might be boring.
Those two are the best in the world right now. What do those
money grubbing people care about giving fight fans an exciting
fight? Everyone and their mothers know that a Pac/PBF fight is

No words have never been spoken truer. Cotto is safer than Floyd
& Mosley and Roach knows it. Now that Manny's camp is speaking
up it's starting to come to light that their indeed protecting Manny.
People on this site can beef and say I'm crazy but the article

People give Cotto too much respect saying Floyd ducked him because
