accomplishment counts more then a personal "skill" of a fighter therefore I can see why Pacquiao was picked over Mayweather.

I seriously agree, I think Pacquaio has been more dominant. But the decade isn't over! It's going back and forth.

Or is it the fact beating Oscar in a close fight(mayweather definitely won but you can't say Oscar wasn't in it since when he jabbed he was winning) a p4p material... And what is it, manny jumped 7 different weight classes and won 7 different titles? Correct me if I'm wrong... And Manny fought people who weren't just brawlers and left their hands low nearly the entire fights. Corrales??? He is a good warrior but he is not known for even a solid defense. No wonder why his ass was put down like 4-5 times before Mayweather put him out. Ricky Hatton??? Come on now...

All the pacman haters keep talking about this hype-train but the truth is, the hype-train is bigger on Mayweathers nutts then it has ever been on Mannys.
2000's Mayweather- Corrales, Castillo twice, Judah, old DLH, Hatton
2000's Pacquiao- Barrera, shot Morales, drained DLH, Hatton, Marquez

Yes Pacquiao has the nod right now but if Floyd beats Marquez and Cotto/Pac himself you could deff give him the nod.

And none of those Mexicans Pac beat are known for their defense so scratch that...

O wait Oscar owns the Ring...that makes sense...
i agree. this is a little premature. with that said, manny's got a good argument to be the best fighter from 00 to 09

Mayweather/Marquez fight is non-sense. Nobody talking about the fight. Fight fans won't give credit for Floyd since he is fighting a midget 2 division below him.

I suppose it wouldn't go down well to Floyd, if he woke up and signed onto the ringtv website, i'm sure he'll have something to say if he did see it like but i can't see why they saying Pacquiao is the greatest of the decade. Floyd was number one for ages so what they basing this on then!

If he gives Marquez a boxing lesson or stops him he will credit regardless of the weight. A close win doesn't do too much for him.

In that case Pac doesn't get credit for beating a drained and old De La Hoya or a weight drained war veteran Morales.

Someone said that Floyd's record is padded. Have you seen Pac's? It is by far the most overrated resume in the history of boxing. He gets mad mad mad credit for doing things that he shouldnt. Like Raheem completey shuts out EM. No one had EM winning one round but Pac knocks him out in the next fight and everyone goes crazy like the Raheem fight never happened. Then they have the nerve to have a 3rd fight which people go crazy over again and never mind the fact that Pac made EM look like a boy in the ring. He was twice as big in the 2nd & 3rd fight as he was in the 1st. David Diaz? Maybe one of the worst champs ever. Oscar at WW with blood coming from the IV's in his arm where Pac weighed the exact same thing as him in the ring. Alot of people thought JMM won both fights. The 2nd MAB fight where MAB had done nothing to deserve it and was clearly as done as EM. Larios and all these guys past there prime and all coming off of recent losses.

All Pac has on his resume is names but none of the names matchup to the guys he fought. Nearly all of them were completely different guys when he fought them and all the good fighters were coming off of recent very bad losses when Pac beat them. Everyone credits him for moving up so much but who did he fight? He didnt fight nearly any big guys. He fought all guys that were also moving up and alot of times he fought the same guys in 2 or 3 different divisions. He moved up but he wa the bigger guy in nearly every fight and in alot of cases he was much bigger. Again, all these guys are so biased to the lighter looking hispanics and they basically consider Pac one. The whole ring hates Floyd. Dougie Fischer is the top writer and Oscar runs it. Who are they really going to pick?
