Exactly wat i was going to say....yet also i think once he beat Ruiz he felt like he had done it all and lost his edge, the first time i saw him not look as sharp and as quick and powerfull as ever was the first tarver fight...Going to Heavyweight could of been a factor with the weight it could of thrown him off a bit who knows...especially after his first loss(real loss) which was a bad knockout in the second round he just lost it especially in his confidence in the ring he was no longer invisible in his eyes.

I do think in his prime top 20 fighter after the last couple losses it just makes it iffy

I'm a die hard RJ fan. Skill wise he's top 3. I'd say he's anywhere from 25-35. If you look at his prime, it's something you wont see again. He was that good. The tail end of his career hurts him a little. But based on 4 world titles, former middleweight champ to heavy champ, holding down lb 4 lb for 10 years, not losing rounds in his prime, displaying things we haven't seen and probably will never see in the ring again at that level; i wouldn't argue with anyone putting him in the top 20.

Although many fighters have accomplished more than Jones I have him in my top 20. He is kind of a special case in regards to ATG rankings due to his physical ability at his absolute best. When you ask who less than lets say 200lbs could have beaten the best Roy Jones that can show up in a fight, it is easy to draw a blank.
