Froch won't lure him out either. We all know what the outcome of Calzaghe/Froch would be anyway. Calzaghe outworks Froch to a points decision. Calzaghe will stay retired and be content with what he has accomlished.

      Probably.

As a Calzaghe fan, this disappoints me. A farewell fight would be nice. Especially because of the circumstances of the Jones fight, that really wasn't competitive despite a flukey forearm knockdown from Jones.

Froch Vs Calzaghe in front of 100,000 at wembely would be awsome. If froch can beat bute and be a double champ he may be able to lure joe in.

Funny thing is I remember American Boxing fans saying the excact same thing when Lewis retired.

I respect plenty of British boxers. For starters I like Froch, Hatton, Lewis, and Prince Naseem. The difference between all of the people I just named and Calzaghe is they dared to be great. Lewis is the only all time great from this list, but at least the rest tried. Calzaghe stayed in the comfort of the UK slapping around bums for years. This was while the real champions were out making real fights. His 0 means nothing. His best victory is versus a unproven Kessler. Hopkins debatabely beat him at 43 years old. Roy jones is shot to pieces and Jeff Lacy was a major hype job. I am struggling to find the greats he beat. Trust me he will be forgotten very quckly. Heck your average boxing fan doesn't know who he is now. I didn't even know who he was until he slapped Lacy around for 12 rounds.

Not just Americans, pretty much everywhere but the UK he is unknown.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL@ Calzaghe stopping Dawson. Dawson has a greater chance beating Calzaghe By KO than Calzaghe does

I've been saying it for a while, Calzaghe would beat Dawson.
