I have calzaghe by decision, but I'd still like to see this fight happen but it won't because I think calzaghe was serious about retirement... Most boxers aren't, but I think he was.

He's retired. Not got the passion anymore and if you don't have that you're better off retired.

Of the two fighters mentioned on here:

Froch - 12 round slapdown. Probably stoppage around the 8th. Froch doesn't win a minute of any round.
Dawson - pretty competitive but you'd have to pick Calzaghe over the 12. I notice some are picking Dawson to KO Calzaghe but I'm not convinced he has the power to do so - he's stopped opponents but not KO'd them plus Calzaghe has some strong whiskers.

If I was Dawson I'd go down to 168. I didn't realise he was only 4 pounds over against Tarver. Blimey. Dawson vs Kessler crowns the king at 160-175, Hopkins aside.

        Calzaghe takes a decision.

I see Calzaghe taking it, I believe he's got the skills to beat everyone at LHW and SMW at the moment.

Calzaghe would tire Dawson in 4-5 rounds, the phase would just be too high - As Calzaghe would start to win loads of rounds. The first 4-5 could go both ways, but I believe Calzaghe would be the man going forwards and that's not a situation Dawson would like to be in.

I don't see Calzaghe knocking him out, because he will box the fight of his life, so no way he will hit the canvas, but he won't take the win. The welshman is too sharp, too effective and might be too fast.

I used to think Joe ducked Chad. But after seeing Tarver-Dawson II, I think Joe will run circles around him and punch him all over to a TKO.

There's a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE between putting Calzaghe down and knocking him out. The guy has freakish powers of recovery. You'd probably have to separate his head from his shoulders - and even then I'd be wary of him getting back up.

i think chad is the best light heavyweight in the game man, i think he beats calzaghe by tko in the 11th and or maybe even cathing calzaghe early, i think dawson proves he is a better fighter by beating hopkins, but i want calzaghe to just fight him that way we know for sure what happens

joe would win - dawson is a good fighter a talented southpaw with nice sharp combo's, a good reach and pop behind his punches, he has question marks over his chin but calzaghe can not exploit that he doesn't have the power.

dawson however cannot fight at the pace and tempo that zaghe can and i see zaghe controlling the fight down the stretch, he would take the last few rounds. dawson also prefers to start punching when his opponent stops and i dont see calzaghe stopping his flurries. calzaghes jab, ring smarts, speed and ultimately conditioning is too much for dawson.

but for the record i dont see joe coming out of retirement
