If the fight was at 140 it would be a significantly bigger win for Floyd than @ 147.

              LOL@Pacfans.

So if Manny beats Floyd, he's in the top 10-20. Mentioned among the likes of Robinson, Pep, Louis, Ali, etc....

But if Floyd beats Pac, it does nothing for him?

You do realize that most people already have Mayweather in the top 50, right?

By bringing up the weight they started at, I'm assuming you're implying that Pacquiao was the smaller man, because I see a lot of Pacfans doing that.

They all say that Manny started out at 106lbs.

But what they don't say, is that Floyd did too.

The only difference is that Manny started as a professional at the age of 16, because he had to because he wanted to make money.

Whereas when Floyd was around 16, he was fighting at 106 in the Golden Gloves. He didn't have that need for money, he was getting amateur experience.

Pacquiao had a few fights at 106 before jumping up to 114lbs, because he was a teenager with a rapidly devolping body.

Mayweather also had to do the same thing, fighting only 1 year at 106, before jumping up to 114 as well. He then fought for 2 years at 114, before his body growth forced him to move up in weight once again, to 125lbs.

There's really no difference in size between the two.

duran is conidered higher in the atg list compared to leanord hearns because he moved up to challenge bigger guys, even though he lost those fights. what matters is the body of work and not one fight.
