    Do you understand that the networks ASSESS THE ECONOMIC VIABILITY OF A FIGHT AND PAY A LICENSING FEE?

    And the networks determine what is a PPV fight or a WCB fight or a BAD fight?

    The promoters don't "collect" any money other than gate and sponsorships.

    Question: If the fight is NOT on PPV, where does the money come from? Answer that.

        Actually, there was a huge media and marketing campaign for Hatton-Pac. Including some NBDB marketing techniques.

          Yes I understand that. My point is whatever pie HBO puts out, they don't actually divide it up between the parties. The 2 sides have to reach an agreement on how to split the pot. I wish that's how it worked that would be great, we'd see all the best possible fights.

                Was it promoted to the extent of Oscar/Floyd? Was in as mainstream as Oscar/Floyd? Point is Pac is not American, yet he's winning Americans over.

                    There's a difference between "who's more liked?" and "who's the bigger draw?"

                    If you go by the numbers, and $$$ is what's being talked about here, then Floyd is the bigger draw. And you can't just say that he needs big names to fight because there will ALWAYS be big names to fight, so what the hell's your point?

                    Pac = more fans
                    Floyd = more buys

                    Make the purse 50/50 and make the fight happen
