Who's the bigger draw? Mayweather or Pacquiao?

As much as the bad guy villain role sells (floyd/tyson) so does the good guy (de la hoya) and so do the great talents of yesteryear who were just warriors like pac. granted no ppv back in the golden era, BUT they also carried boxing to the forefront of american sports. If they were fighting in today's PPV age they'd do phenomenal. Point being I think any number of styles can appeal to people & sell.Comment

hey fair enough it may not be credible yet, but the rest of what i said is. bill clinton wanted to meet him, denzel came to his dressing room. walburg comes to the wildcard. i mean when's the last time you saw stuff like this? Pac dominated the headlines after his ko of hatton. it was on espn, etc. Bottom line it got a lot more attention than the result of a boxing fight has in a quite some time.Comment

True, not saying floyd cant draw because he can. If were talking US like i said i think its pretty close. I mean you got celebs wanting to meet pac, your got jones wanting to host a pac fight in dallas, you got the celtics rushing off after their game 7 to catch his fight. His excitement is growing. I'd like to see how pac draw vs. a non name now as another poster mentioned. I mean whatever Hatton/Pac drew I think anyone that bought that fight as a casual fan is going to want to watch Pac again.
Floyd's last fight was with Hatton aswell, and that was a pretty good fight that ended in pretty spectacular fashion also. People usually remember the last thing you did. So people who bought Floyd's last fight are fairly likely to watch again (atleast the first one back for sure).Last edited by The Gambler1981; 05-08-2009, 06:10 PM.Comment
