You're still failing to answer why you think the 2 fights cannot be compared.

I agree with what to you say Bat, and it's a fair comparison but Marquez choose to go up in weight - He wasn't forced to but you need to remember Marquez called Floyd out! Not the other way round.

You want it, come get it!

not at the slightest. Mayweather started his career at 130 while JMM at 126. so, according to your "weight" argument, Mayweather facing a 154 pounder would equal JMM fighting Mayweather if we're purely basing this on weight.

and I know that if mayweather fought spinks at lmw, nobody would be crying about how unfair this fight would be for mayweather including the mayweather nuthuggers.

The only thing that bothers is me is Mayweather saying he took Juan Manuel Marquez's challenge because he called him out. Dude...you didn't hear all those WELTERS doing the exact same thing for months????

Come on, we both know in the back of everyone mind it is classed as a tune-up... none of us expect him to get in there with Cotto, Mosley, Pacquiao straight after 18 months off.

Believe me mate, I would rather not call it a tune-up, I respect Marquez more than that... but its the best way to describe it.

As I said in the TS Floyd has fought the last 5 fights at 147 or above so he is a legit WW. Poor JMM at 35 only has 2 fights at LW his first fight being less than a year ago, while Floyds first fight at 147 took place no less than 3½ years ago.

well considering pavlik could never fight below 160,struggles a bit to make middleweight and has fought at 170 means u have used a really bad example

you're saying that as if going up in weight is dangerous. I've never heard of a fighter being drained and weak from gaining weight. It will be a lot harder for Mayweather to go down 4 pounds to the catchweight than it will be for marquez to gain 9 pounds. hell, marquez is probably above 144 walking around as we speak.

So that's why you made such an obnoxious outburst? Because Pavlik wouldn't go down 2 pounds?

I would think he surely would thereby adding some 10 million to his bankaccount.
