Mayweather vs. Pavlik or JMM vs. Mayweather. Equally (un)fair?

Why is there so much debate about FMJ fighting JMM? THEY ARE THE SAME SIZE! Juan started out at 126, PBF started out at 130. Fact is JMM accepted the fight, and PBF has been out of the ring for more than a year. JMM is considered a top 5 P4P fighter, and people are calling this a "tune up" for PBF? I mean this is getting ridiculous. This is going to be a good fight, regardless of how blind some of you are.

Here's what people don't consider when talking about this issue. Floyd has always fought at or around his natural weight. He walks around at about 150-155 max. He could weigh in at 147 and on fight night won't move more than a pound because it's his natural weight and is in great shape. Marquez is roughly about the same size minus maybe an inch. the difference is that Marquez is like many other fighters who drain and dehydrate to make the weigh in while Floyd could have done the same and fought at 130 much longer and be now 135-140 but he would rather not do that and has enough skills to compete against some of the bigger guys within reason. Of course it would be nice for him to fight Mosley but people are saying that Pacquiao is #1 and Mayweather wants to stop that talk. Thats what this fight with Marquez is about. Even though Marquez is better than a tune up it's a fight that he better be prepared for and is to get him ready for Pacquiao

You on the other hand, make threads about Floyd and other fighters,

And even if your singular case meant anything to the argument, it doesn't help prove that official weights are more important overall.

So why have official weights then?

am I against weight divisions, no. because usually fighters in every weight class are generally the same height but, I do think there are twice as many weight classes as there should be. most weight divisions were created for the sole purpose of making the boxing organizations more money through royalties and some ppl can't see past that and make their own judgments.

and you're trying to make it look like that your "weight" argument is more valid than my "height and reach" argument. if you have any boxing knowledge at all, I think you can figure out the ridiculousness in that.
