Same ole tired ass argument from the usual suspects. Looks like you still cant let go! 2k+ posts dedicated to a fighter you despise, lol! get a life rooster! Here is a tip, create a thread where you develop a game plan for the MUCH SMALLER jmm to beat the HUGE pbf! This is what is missing from the board and it will help your cause in being anti-pbf. good luck my redundant buddy.

          Argument fails.
We're not talking about your mythical rules and regulations that are dictated before the actual fight. We're talking about actual physics- mass of bodies dictating force on another object... So on the night of the fight, the weights DO count. Because that factors into so many aspects of the fight. The actual weigh in counts much less, actually.

If Vinny Paz and Roy Jones weighed in the same, it didn't mean jack **** on the night of the fight. And we can say that for so many other fights in history.

btw, I voted unfair on both counts.
Cuz he is a "full-fledged MW".. Unlike both Baldy or DLH. But that's not the point, anyway.

Wouldn't it be the same as Mayweather fighting Pavlik at 158?

                  Facts:

Mayweather has fought 5 fights at or above welterweight.

JMM has fought only twice as a lightweight.

Which matchup seems most fair to you or would you consider those fights equally (un)fair?
Here's what people don't consider when talking about this issue. Floyd has always fought at or around his natural weight. He walks around at about 150-155 max. He could weigh in at 147 and on fight night won't move more than a pound because it's his natural weight and is in great shape. Marquez is roughly about the same size minus maybe an inch. the difference is that Marquez is like many other fighters who drain and dehydrate to make the weigh in while Floyd could have done the same and fought at 130 much longer and be now 135-140 but he would rather not do that and has enough skills to compete against some of the bigger guys within reason. They are roughly the same size naturally and I'd bet money that Marquez walks around heavier than Floyd just as Hatton did but he cuts to compete in lower divisions. Thats the difference in size between them. Pavlik has a completely different sized body and is WAY bigger so Mayweather would never fight him but people shouldn't make such a big issue about a size difference here. Of course it would be nice for him to fight Mosley but people are saying that Pacquiao is #1 and Mayweather wants to stop that talk. Thats what this fight with Marquez is about. Even though Marquez is better than a tune up it's a fight that he better be prepared for and is to get him ready for Pacquiao

why didn't Chico go through with the third Castillo fight?

From what I remember, Diego weighed more than JLC the night of the actual rematch, despite JLC not making the weight.
