people dont realize that the mayweather that fought above 140 is nothing in comparison to the one at 135

      WTF at Tankster...

Going up in weight is much easier than coming down. Only reason I really discredit a Marquez win slightly is cuz he's old really...

ofcourse he moves up in weight he was young at that time your body grows same as pacquiao who started at 106lbs-147lbs. They were young at that time. But as for a 36 year old marquez its not fair. So at this point in his career can pbf move 2 weight classes? i guess not.

First of all... Marquez said he was going to 140 RIGHT after the Juan Diaz win... they are fighting at 144... so you can get over that real quick...

            so wait a minute

going by what you say then 5 lbs would put Marquez at 140 NOT the on 143/144 that has been agreed upon

also someone mentioned going up or down a weight class

well JMM is going up two not the one that people think. It's funny how people are using "well he said he was going to 140 anyways" but he has indeed ZERO fights as a Jr Welter.

and if the same is true shouldn't have Floyd been able to make 140 with relative ease? Granted JMM called him out BUT if he truely is the warrior some make him out to be then wouldn't he want to go back down to face the best possible JMM out there rather than a literal ????

Because pacquiao is going at 140 thats why, its all about the money. But any boxing experts knows that 140+ is not Marquez' natural weight. He is 36 years old gaining that much weight will definitely affect his performance. Same as floyd fighting at 158 it will have a great effect. Thats why it is unfair.

but he has ZERO fights as a Junior Welter so technically he isnt a 140lb fighter

Fail. Gaining weight is much easier since you only need to go on a high protien diet and strenght training. But this is boxing not the nfl gaining weight will be a disadvantage since if it is not your natural weight you will be bloated. Whereas losing 5lbs of water a day before a fight to make weight and gaining it come fight night is far better than the latter. You don't know anything about training.

If you do it the right way you won't be unhealthy...

We've seen more weight drained & fighters who overtrained of late than those who put on too much
