In all honesty, Manny Pacquiao is the face of boxing.

Manny Pacquiao is the hot ticket in boxing right now. EVERYONE is talking about him, all sorts of media outlets. Casual fans, MMA fans, etc.
Oscar De La Hoya is still the face of boxing. If you don't watch boxing you don't know who Manny Pacquiao is. Probably not Floyd either.

yeah, the whole week before the fight I was kind of shocked at how many different types of people who normally don't care for boxing were talking about their plans for watching the Pac fight, dudes a worldwide superstar

it's a good thing too that Manny has a real aggressive and entertaining style of fighting because that appeals to a lot more people

Pacquiao is a hot commodity right now.

            - Bill Clinton visits him
            - Eddie House of the Boston Celtics gets all anxious in a post game interview because he needed to catch Pacquiao's fight
            - Boston Celtics visiting Pacquiao in the dressing after the Diaz win
            - Numerous stars turn out to watch the Pacquiao-Hatton fight

Pacquiao has indeed been good for boxing.

I'm sorry bra, but every thing I'm experiencing outside of the internet says otherwise. TMZ wouldnt be covering someone a mainstream audience knows nothing about. Newspapers wouldnt have him on the first page.

Manny > DLH and Mayweather in terms of popularity.

And Manny didn't even have to go on Dancing With The Stars to do it either.

Pacquiao has taken the sports world by storm. Every radio station and sports talk show is talking about this guy. He had major celebrities at his fight. He trains in Hollywood. The guy is all of a sudden a star, and yes Ex it did happen over night.

It's all because of the way he fights. People forget that the casual fan watches boxing for entertainment. We will watch a ****ty fight and come back because we enjoy the sport regardless. Pacquiao always comes to fight and brings excitement. He didn't just win a fight, he was sensational. Everyone remembers an amazing KO like that. He not only performed on the big stage, he entertained. Imagine if ESPN had permission to run the KO. Then it'd be even crazier.

Has anyone ever walked out in the middle of a Pacquiao fight?

Nah, that doesn't happen to a face of the sport.

Mayweather stans are dwindling by the minute these days.
