Currently, hands down Manny is bringing boxing back into the mainstream. Today I saw high school kids, regular middle aged folk, and even old ass ladies at the mall all talking about "the little Asian guy" (Pacquiao) knocking the hell out of Hatton (not to mention the attention this has been getting from the media). Last time I have seen so many people talking about a fight was when Lewis fought Tyson. Screw the other guys, Pacquiao is the face of boxing now.
In all honesty, Manny Pacquiao is the face of boxing.

Duh. If Manny sticks to fighters his own size he could become the next Ali/Tyson. I looks liek he might be biting off more than he could even be expected to chew at WW, however.Comment

Thats how its going down right now.
People want to see more of Manny.
Both of my sons they want to box more and watch more boxing.
Guess which fighter they watched to express to me anything about boxing?
Manny Pacquiao.
Usually, they whine and moan about having to watch boxing or even do a little workout.
Saturday night they became little fans of the sport and want to see him again.Comment

Thats a huge part of what makes him so great. His willingness, without excuses to take on a challenge.Comment

In this case, it did. I havent seen an NBA player so giddy about not wanting to miss the fight that the interviewer tells him, "Ok, go watch the fight" on live TV in a PLAY OFF GAME.
Manny Pacquiao is the hot ticket in boxing right now. EVERYONE is talking about him, all sorts of media outlets. Casual fans, MMA fans, etc.Comment

I think the opposite, the higher he's went the easier it's getting for him
