There is an element of truth to that.

After 'Undefeated', the FMJ ****-ridery was rampant.

After Bernard Hopkins schooled Pavlik, guys were on here like "Bernard, bone my daughters. Please give me some snaggle-toothed grandbabies"

      Now, Pacquiao walks on water.

when has PBF's fan base ever been "big?" it hasnt. people have no clue what "real" boxing is and think its all about slugfest. thats why they like fighter like DLH, pacman, hatton.

but its about wins at the end of the day.

more people tune into FM fights to see him lose more than win. but that changed with the hatton and DLH fights.

PBF has been the biggest ticket drawer in the sport since him and DLH. his fight with hatton killed his and DLh's record.

but now people are on MP's ****. thats cool. long as they stay loyal when MP loses

There is also the truth that people are all over Mayweather's nuts just to be against Many. Now Manny and Mayweather are my favorites boxers i just think its ****** when people sit here and try and put them down on fake bs. Like puttin down Mayweather just cuz they like Manny they are both good boxers thats y they both became pound 4 pound the best. The only way that anyone is goin to kno which one is better is if they fight

              long back read..

the thread was about the current face of boxing.. its PACMAN and it doesnt really matter how he got there, to most its a welcome sign.

no PBF fanatic could say otherwise.

What is "current"? Past 48 hours?

Was Manny the face of boxing last Wednesday?

Last time I have seen so many people talking about a fight was when Lewis fought Tyson. Screw the other guys, Pacquiao is the face of boxing now.
And it couldn't be in better hands

However, I'm finding new/casual fans still can't pronounce his last name

David Haye snatches it away from him with a KO victory, heavyweights just attract more attention

Boxing barely had a face with the rise of MMA. DLH was fading and PFB is de****able. Pacquiao's mainstream assention was triggered by DLH. It ignited with Hatton's destruction. I saw the fight at a pretty popular bar chain in Montreal, Canada and it was packed. This place fills up during an Oscar fight or a Bute fight (since he's the current local talent) I was expecting the place fill up with Filipinos but was surprised to see all ethnicity alike. That stood out.
