In all honesty, Manny Pacquiao is the face of boxing.

If Manny-Hatton does less than Floyd-Hatton, what does that say?
last time I heard, early 2008 was the start of our recession......

Manny Pacquiao is ****ing popular right now.

And he did it from the RING. Not from talk shows, not from reality TV shows, but from being a BOXER first, not a personality.

      What he said!

I couldn't have said it any better!

Last time I have seen so many people talking about a fight was when Lewis fought Tyson. Screw the other guys, Pacquiao is the face of boxing now.
That is the simple truth of the matter. The vast majority of people want to see floyd get knocked out, they are not supporting him,and its people inside boxing that want to see this, allowing for his stans of course.I here Mayweather's name mentioned in here, but he doesnt have the current worldwide recognition that Manny has,and I dont think he ever did.
In the current climate the image of Mayweather with his outsized tacky ***ellery(mr.t mini me),the cars, the boats and his penchant for throwing money about is odious enough, and thats before he has even opened that vile mouth of his.Pacquiao on the other hand is completely the opposite in just about every way.

Whilst he may not have the greatest command of english, his good nature and the generosity of his personality seems to shine through anyway, also,he is a guy that attacks and makes his fights exciting,as well as winning them. These are things that give him appeal to people that dont really follow boxing. He is a great role model and his appeal is truly universal,my eleven year old son wants a giant poster of him for christs sake!

I dont go much on mayweather as a human being, but as a lifelong boxing fan I can appreciate what he has done, but is he really good for the sport? The answer I suppose is that you have to have a pantomime villain, and that is his role now he is back.

Some cats here must be mentaly ******ed. I'm a Mayweather fan, but if Pacquiao vs Hatton gets more buys than Mayweather vs Hatton, seeing that we are in a pretty bad recession, then what will you guys make out of it?

By the way I didn't even mention Mayweathers name in this thread, but I see some of you cats are using Pacquiao's name to promote Mayweather.

You didnt have to,because its his mantle pacquiao has taken over, and I think that can only be a good thing for the sport.

Holy ****. A friend of mine who flew out to England a few weeks ago called me today. Turns out he got beat up by some Hatton supporters for celebrating at a bar after Hatton got stretched.
