I said I favoured Taylor, but Froch could KO him late like Pavlik did, hence not betting. Not a bad shout though. I also stand by Froch having a loss within say 3 fights, and will bet if he faces Hops or Kessler.

good point man - right now if he matches with kess or hopkins he loses, possibly by KO to mikkel.

if bute has sorted his stamina issues id favour him as well.

as for andrade i think that would be a war and that froch would come off worse.

but he has a loss coming and its just a matter of who will be smart enough and who will sacrifice enough to make the fight and take the belts.

The Taylor knock down didn't hurt Froch, but people need to wise up to this.

Froch admitted to being hurt in the fight in one of his interviews (BBC I think); not necessarily by the KD which was more of an equilibrium shot, but later in the fight after Taylor landed some of his combos at the end of rounds.

So I'd say you need to wise up to the fact that Carl is not some invincible force.

I didn't say he was an invincible force. He has a great chin, that's all i'm saying.

People are basing their argument of Kessler KOing Froch because Taylor dropped him. Taylor has faster hands then Kessler, that's how the knock down happened! And it didn't hurt Froch.

Kessler would UD Froch, but KO him!? I don't think so IMO.

What's the difference between people arguing that Kessler would KO Froch because Taylor dropped him, and you arguing that because Pavlik KO'd Taylor, Froch would do the same?

This is from a thread you started before the fight, on the basis that "If Kelly can beat stop Taylor, then Froch can too."

                  I see Talyor getting KO'd.
Granted, you turned out to be right, albeit by 14 seconds, but right nonetheless. But your logic there was virtually identical to the logic you're arguing against now. Doesn't quite ring home when it's being used against one of your favorite fighters, does it?

Froch was hurt 3, maybe 4 times from what I can remember, but only seriously the once. Nobody is going to catch right hands like that and not see the lights on ***** street eventually. Still, Froch has a fantastic chin, great conditioning, and is a big puncher. These are why he beat Taylor (I'm a huge Taylor fan, but the kid's conditioning is what beats him...see my other post on this fight), not because he's better. If he'd been lacking in any of these three areas, he'd have lost. He just happened to be the Taylor antidote that night.

Against Kessler, however, I give him -1 (to the power of 10) chance of winning. In fact, I'll go on record here saying that, if Froch and Kessler meet, Froch will be seeing his 2nd and 3rd (and maybe 4th) knockdowns, and his first KO loss.

Kessler: Magnificient technician, has cruiserweight power in his right hand, always suberbly conditioned (he's one of the few I've ever seen keep pace with Calzaghe for 12 rounds), and has some of the fastest hands in the division.

Froch: Great conditioning, excellant power, great chin. Remind you of anyone? (Andrade)

No-win situation for Froch. He'd be smarter to take on Pavlik and a few others, after a Taylor rematch, bank some cash, improve his skill and technique. I don't know if he'll be ready for Kessler by then, but he'll be a helluva lot more ready for it than he is now. No way he beats Kessler if the fight happens in the next 36 months.
