First of all Floyd took castillo, the top guy (no david diaz) on in his 1st fight at 135, Hernandez was unbeaten at 130 and floyd won that WBC title at 21 years of age. You can add hatton too, since he was undefeated before he met floyd and many picked floyd to lose that fight.
morales was several years younger than genaro , baldomir , oscar and gatti who floyd got his belts from.

he might have been past prime a bit but obviously still good enough to beat pac 1st time around wasn't he?

castillo was NOT floyd's first fight at lightweight. the majority of floyd's fights at the start of his career was above 130. above 130 is lightweight. most of floyd's 130 fights was after he won the belt when he had to be 130 or under.

and why the hell are you comparing floyd's best win (castillo) to one of manny's tuneup fights (diaz) lol wth?

wow! floyd won the wbc 130 belt at 21? amazing. you do realize that manny won the wbc 112 AND lineal 112 title at 19 right? lol

          quite possible.

just because floyd beats him doesn't mean what he did before means nothing.

it's a title that isn't passed on from vanquished to victor like a championship belt.

calzaghe beat jones. does that mean calzaghe had the better career and resume?

Crazy as it sounds, I'll go with facts over 'woulda, coulda, shoulda'.
Someone ranked Manny up there with Ali and Robinson last night if we wanna talk about fantasys

Thats a good point you make. Its all about opinions this kind of thing, and for me its Pacquiao, but just because I would rather watch him fight, and thats not taking anything away from floyd. They are both magnificent in their own ways and really the only two fighters you should be talking about as far as FOTD goes.

talking about fighter of the decade and better career/resume.

say floyd beats manny in their upcoming fight does that automatically mean he has had a better resume/career?

ranking someone with other greats is not the same as saying he'd beat them.
