Is Pac NOW the fighter of the decade?

How about it. Most had Floyd pegged for this mythical title before last night. Has Manny surpassed him?

No need discussing it now. We'll either know July 18th or five months after.

I'm a Floyd but and Pacquiao fan. Pacquiao is the man now. Floyd, in his prime, skillwise was a monster but Pacquiao earned the fighter of the decade by making history yesterday.

I expect Floyd to win in July, but it seems he has regressed from taking on the biggest challenges while Pacquiao keeps marching forward looking for the tougest fights. Right now I have to go with Manny, even if Floyd beats JMM. If Floyd could beat Manny after that and top a Cotto or Mosely the ball would be right back in his court. Till then I think the cherry picking hurts him when considering this question.

As said above, we might find out this year.

Right now, I consider the skills in judging this kind of thing, and mayweather is just on a different planet skills wise.

Lets see what he can do against Marquez.

he already was before this win. his only competition was floyd and he trumped him before pac even beat delahoya.

he just matched floyd's 2 biggest wins with his last 2 fights and did it in more impressive fashion i might add.

his best wins (marquez , morales , barrera , ledwaba , sasakul) already trumps floyd's best wins (corrales , castillo , gatti , genaro , judah)

              he has lineal titles in 4 weight classes (112 , 126 , 130 and 140) compared to floyd's 3 (135 , 147 , 154)

              he has won a belt/title in 6 weight classes (112 , 122 , 126 , 130 , 135 and 140) compared to floyd's 5 (130 , 135 , 140 , 147 , 154)

he has won 2 ring magazine fighter of the year awards compared to 1 for floyd.

when comparing how they fared against common opponents I'd have to disagree.
