Hatton was exposed before fighting Mayweather. The fact Mayweather picked Hatton over Cotto or Margarito at the time was weak. But Paq's smaller then Floyd and he still took out Ricky more decisively. All in all a win over Ricky seems to be highly over-rated.

First of all, people have been dying to see mayweather hatton for YEARS, it was easily one of the most anticipated fights ever on this forum was being discussed when they were both at 140, when suprise suprise mayweather was "ducking" hatton and hatton had the style to beat mayweather like castillo did. It was a huge money fight, ricky was undefeated, large amounts of people picked him to win. Floyd exposed him, he was never the same fighter again.

Secondly, beating someone more decively than someone else means f.uck all in this case imo. If mayweather jr ko's marquez does that make him p4p no 1 because he destroyed someone pac barley got decisions over? Hatton ko'd castillo with one shot, mayweather went the distance with him twice, hatton still got beat up.

Carl froch just knocked out someone Bernard Hopkins couldnt beat in 2 attempts, what does that mean?..........Absolutley nothing, other than Carl Froch can beat taylor.


I got a **** load of respect for manny pacquiao, but everytime a top boxer wins, on NSB the ****lickers begin to flood the forum with ****** threads, often about the same thing, concerning **** which doesnt add up one bit.

Straight up IF and thats and IF, floyd beats marquez, I still think Pacman has a real chance against floyd, f.uck what happened between pac and marquez its about styles. So why the f.uck people are talking about pac knocking out mayweather I dont know.

probably this last decade , with all the others guys getting old midway through the decade , probably floyd is the best technically.

just on technique , it's probably floyd. i can't think of other guys better without taking into account physical skills such as strength , handspeed , punching power , stamina , etc.

floyd really benefited coming from a boxing family. i think floyd sr. is a **** trainer but he knows boxing enough to teach his son.

Right, this is the reason why mayweather is rated as the best by some, he hasnt got the best resume, we all know that, its his skills and the fact he dominates the majority of his opponents, often going through entire fights and hardly being touched by the opponent.

If you consider a boxers skill level and dedication to the sport in your best of the decade, this is where I think mayweather has the edge over pacquaio. However pacquaio has the edge in other areas, such as willingness to take risks, probably best wins on resume and moving up in weight.

Even if Pac lost to Floyd he could still be considered the FOTD if Floyd doesn't step up and take on a few top welters. Manny has beaten better opposisiotion, in my opinion, and has shown a willingness to take chances and tough fights that it seems like Floyd has avoided. Its all a matter of opinion, but there is more to take into consideration than just a head to head match up.
