Mayweather gets taken to school by Pac.....he is way too quick for almost anyone at this point. Floyd's defensive strategies depend on countering a guy before he throws a certain punch. Manny throws too many punchs and he is too accurate for Floyd. PBF loses a lopsided UD by being ultra defensive just to survive but if he tries to actually fight Pac, he gets knocked out!!

if JMM could counter him, floyd most certainly can too. I agree that pac has the best style to give pbf problems but thats all he'll do is give pbf minor problems. pbf would knock pac down atleast once in the fight but it would go the distance with a decision victory for floyd.

too bad ricky didn't have a top level trainer in his corner.

don't know if he could ever beat manny but with better people in his corner , with a better gameplan , he could have been more competitive.

floyd mayweather sr. needs to retire.
Nah, there was no way Hatton could have lasted in that fight, no matter what trainer he had. Pacquiao is on another level. I just hope Arum doesn't put Cotto in the middle of the light guys.

Pacquiao didn't raise his game to a new level. Everyone knew the guy who was going to have to adjust was Hatton. You can't bumrush a power puncher. Hatton did, as a result he was nearly crippled for life.

Pacquiao is not the greatest ever. DLH was pathetic in that fight. He didn't punch with any authority from the outset.

Pacquiao is great. What more do people want to hear? He was great before this fight with Hatton. Why all of a sudden he's the greatest?

Hatton was nearly knocked out against Collazo and Lazcano.

            Manny gets my full respect

I know I doubted the kid in the past but DAMN!! He kicked Hatton's ass.
To all the guys on Boxingscene that picked Pacquiao to win good call!
Manny has my official support as the P4P best.......Until my man Floyd
            gets at him ;-)

All in all big props to Manny Pacquiao. Didn't know he could be so dominate
and he put his foot in Hatton's ass and walked around the ring with him
            on it.

I dont see anything wrong with what Mayweather Snr. stated. Hatton should retire, its more than obvious the guy just cannot learn to box or even move his head. He does the same crap every fight. Agressivley comes in head first leaving himself open, its amazing he has come this far without getting brutally knocked out until now. If he keeps fighting, he is bound to get hurt. Time to hang up the gloves Rickey.

Hope this win gives pac more credit for the de la hoya win...

Also explains why DLH quickly lost his aggression early on and was
unwilling to attack and fully commit his punches...
He felt the power of pac early on and became more defensive miinded.

Wonder if DLH is thinking 'heck, i did better than a 30 year hatton -- maybe
                  i'm NOT washed up'.

If he beat Manny, he would of probably gone after Mayweather Jr. Thankfully he lost and can now go into promoting.

Thank you. I see you are the only person smart enough to understand what happened. Hatton's ego got the best of him and he decided to go back to the way he's use to fighting. Hatton lost because of himself, not because of Mayweather Sr.

It was as he said, "to hell with Mayweather Snr's game plan"..I will do it my own way..
