Trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. has advised his fighter, Ricky Hatton, to retire from boxing before he gets seriously injured. Hatton was blown out by Manny Pacquiao in two rounds on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Pacquiao landed a left hand that knocked Hatton out cold and it took several minutes before the fighter was able to get to his feet. Following the event Hatton was taken to local hospital to get tested for any serious damage. [details]

maybe hatton would have done better with a better gameplan.
too bad ricky didn't have a top level trainer in his corner.
don't know if he could ever beat manny but with better people in his corner , with a better gameplan , he could have been more competitive.
floyd mayweather sr. needs to retire.

Pacquiao is not below your son Mayweather, Pacquiao and Marquez have fought the best why your son avoided and hand-picked his opponents. If anyone is below anyone, its your son Mayweather who fights at 147 and claims to be a 147 fighter, yet always avoids the best at 147.

i hope ricky is alright but good win for pacquaio. theres no downplaying this win. he beat a younger fighter who was a legit light welterweight. it wasnt the case like de la hoya who was old and weight drained. the next big fight should be with mayweather but we all know floyd wont take the fight.

Theres nothing Ricky could have done tonight..It also didnt help that he threw everything Floyd Sr taught him out 10 seconds into the fight....But tonight you couldnt delay the inevitable Manny was just ready to whoop his ass
