[QUOTE=ИATAS206;5182634]Nice article. Lets ignore the facts that for one, bernard hopkins is 44 years old. I repeat, he's 44 years old. Two, he has faced nothing but elite opposition since Taylor and has earned his right to fight whomever he wants. And three Dawson has been tied up with Tarver for quite some time now.

No need to criticize and/or demand anything from a 44 year old legend who has more than proved himself over his 20+ year career.

The only ones who don't want to see this fight are the ones who want to further pad Carl's resume. If Carl is as tops as these people make him out to be,why wouldn't they want to see him tested against Calzaghe's nemesis.

Pavlik is the definition of a technical boxer. Do people see the comparisons between them?

Did hopkins really say he didn't wanna fight Dawson because he's a rising champ with lots of potential? If he did I'm pretty sure he likes beating white fighters then. If Hopkins wants to prove somthing at 168 he should fight Kessler.

Funny how you could run from someone you already beat, and Dawson already said that he would give Johnson a rematch. Also, Dawson is in a position where he can call out anyone he wants. He holds two of the titles at light heavyweights and his resume at 175 is way better than Hopkin's run there.

Yeah Bernard put himself in a difficult position with this one, i know many interviewers will bring that up as well, i wonder what his answer will be.

LOL nah its the styles match up. If Dawson was a one dimensional slow footed fighter, Hopkins would jump straight on him.

Hopkins-Froch? Hell no. What would be the point of that? Hopkins is probably a worse matchup for Froch than Calzaghe would be ... and that'd be horrificly one sided.

How are Froch and Pavlik, stylisticly similar?

They are not. One is awkward and the other is a technical boxer.

I think the only excuse for not gunning for Dawson is that Froch holds a title at 168. A division in which Hopkins has not been a champ.

Froch is tailor made for Bernard, so it's almost a title in the bag, that is if Froch agrees to the fight.

I would be far more interested in Froch/Kessler or Froch/Andrade though.

Dawson should look at rematching Johnson after the Tarver fight.

Dawson presents a bad style matchup for Bernard. At 44 Bernard def could be outworked and defeated. I doubt a fight would happen unless Bernard can figure out(or think he can) how to disrupt Dawson's offense.
