Would be interesting. Fact is he'd have in a way gone as far as revenging his two losses to Taylor, by dominating the two guys whom beat him. At the same time looks great again, and gets a belt in a what third division, 3 weight champ. Not a bad cherry in many ways.

Vester needs to get off Dawsons nuts, the article is too biased. It makes sense in some ways.

Hopkins should fight Dawson. I think HBO will offer him a lot more money for the Dawson fight too so it might happen. Who knows? Things change so much with him

It;s actually quite simple... Hopkins can't beat Dawson.

Beating Kelly pavlik at 170lbs.. and beating chad dawson at 175, are so far apart its not even funny...

Too tough of a fight.... Froch is beatable for Bernard.

To say Hopkins can't beat Dawson is a bit of a stretch. I'd say no matter how many times they fought, Froch can't beat Calzaghe, Tarver can't beat Hopkins, but I wouldn't say Hopkins can't beat Dawson. If they fought, it'd be one of the few times I wouldn't put real money on BHop, but with Hopkins' deadly accurate right hands and Dawson's questionable chin, it's hard to say Hopkins can't do it. I'd like to see Hopkins-Dawson, even though Dawson might win. Still, this is a 3rd weight class title for BHop, another one-up on Taylor (a bit childish but oh wells), and it makes a lot more sense to me than a Trinidad rematch. I'd love to see Hops go for Froch, Dawson, then Adamek, and throw Roy Jones in the end just for fun. But that's a lot to ask for a 44 yr old man who will be coming up on a 1 year layoff before he fights.

Nonsense. There has been tons of criticism for Dawson not re-matching Johnson and Calzaghe not re-matching Hopkins.

Saying a Froch match up wouldn't do anything for his legacy is just plain ******, it's not Froch name he wants on his resume, but the BELT.
Who cares about Froch's belt? He's one of four champs. Alphabet titles are meaningless. If he really wants to be the Super-Middleweight champ, he should try to fight Kessler for the Ring Magazine belt. If Kessler won't do it, his only options are Dawson, Johnson, or retire.

Hahaha some people would rather hate on the best than enjoy the sport. Can't please everybody I suppose.

Hopkins already has a fantastic legacy. Easily the best of this era. He doesn't need another fight to prove himself. No one is dogging his legacy right now (unless they don't know what they are talking about).

So he's really only got 2 options:

                      1. Fight Chad Dawson
                      2. Retire; which no one will hound him about. He doesn't owe anybody another fight, and anyone who claims that he is afraid of, or ducking Dawson should consider that the man is 44 years old, and you are demanding that he fights the king at 175 in his prime. He doesn't owe us that. He doesn't need that for validation.

Besides, if Hopkins lost, people would say he's too old. If Hopkins wins, people will quickly say that Dawson was overrated. There's little to gain from a fight with Dawson.
