Hopkins Targets Froch...What About Chad Dawson?

The news gets wilder when it comes to Bernard Hopkins. Out goes a rematch with Felix Trinidad, and in comes WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch. The fight makes little sense to the "legacy" of Hopkins. There is no revenge logic. Hopkins, who lost two fights to Jermain Taylor, already dominated Kelly Pavlik, the man who beat Taylor twice. Last month he wanted to go up to cruiserweight to fight IBF champion Tomasz Adamek. That fight fell through after Adamek refused a lowball offer of $500,000. [details]

Hopkins gets a free pass from me. After all, he has been fighting nothing but top 10 P4Pers since he was screwed in the Taylor fights.

If Hopkins is to fight again, to me no other fight would make sense but Chad Dawson. Lets hope this fight does go down and Dawson whips his ass. And other than being tall and white, Kelly Pavlik is nothing like Carl Froch. Froch is so fundamentally bad its rediculous. And in my eyes, Kelly Pavlik would beat everyone in The Ring's Super Middleweight rankings.

I've been one of the one's bitching the most for Hopkins to fight Dawson, but Froch-Hopkins works for me. Taylor/Dawson/Froch vs Hopkins are all intersting fights to me, I would have preferred Taylor vs Hopkins or Dawson vs Hopkins but Taylor lost and I don't see Hopkins taking on Dawson, ever. So Froch vs Hopkins, bring it on.
