Okay, Hopkins been fighting around 170 since Tarver. Before that he was a middleweight for fifteen years. Thats 160 pounds. Froch is a 168 pound champion, so hopkins beating him gets him his 3rd belt in a third division. So it will make him a 3 division Champion which makes his legacy take a couple steps higher.

Marquez barely started fighting at 135 less then a year ago. He was at 130 and below before these last two fights. Now floyd wants to fight him 2 divisions higher then he is suppose to be. And Marquez doesn't hold a 140 or 147 belt that floyd would fight for. Fight does nothing for floyd if he wins, but if he loses it will be like Pac vs DLH. Upset of the year.

No one likes floyd, the only reason his ppv sells is because people want to watch him lose. But they don't realize he has a boring ass style for a reason, he is nearly impossible to beat plus he completely has hand-picked his fighters for the purpose of knowing they won't be a challenge to him. He avoids the challenges at his own weight class 147, and if he isn't a 147 fighter then he should choose to fight at 140 or other lower weight classes.

Hopkins is 43 years old, and he should be able to fight anybody he wants at this stage of his career. I might not agree with a fight with trinidad, but if he wants that, then let the man be. This man was avoided by all MW champions until the Trinidad fight. He fought all the best MW-LHW in his era. He dominated about all of them.
