Honestly, I believe Hopkins would knock out Carl Froch. Before he fought Taylor,Carl had never been knocked down-Bernard has harder,more accurate punches and is a slick fighter.Hopkins eats up pressure fighters with poor defense.
I would also justify this fight as it would be attractive for Carl,he wouldn't have to put on much weight,and is at the prime of his career.I believe it would make good money with Calzaghe fans who want to see how easily dismantled Carl can be with a smart fighter.Froch gets demolished by Calzaghe or Hopkins and they are expired.Speaks how great they are.

I agree, Taylor showed how flawed and defensively weak Froch is. I don't know if Froch would take the fight though, because he accused Calzaghe of fighting an old man in both Jones and Hopkins. But maybe he changed his mind when he saw the Pavlik fight, or when he sees how much money Hopkins brings.

In all fairness,Hopkins has fought all fighters,young and older..Froch is a bit more of a known commodity than Dawson because of his loud and proud fans and his recent controversial win against Taylor (keep in mind,he got the KO,but also got lucky).Froch draws more attention than Dawson.Though I like Dawson,he couldn't draw flies to a filled toilet.The brits bring fans and you have to respect that-in terms of attention,ask yourself who is more popular WORLDWIDE.
Remember the amount of fans with Dawson and Tarver (keeping in mind Tarver is a bigger draw than Dawson)-you could hear echoes with how empty that event was.Froch packs out in the UK-especially Nottingham.

Its a style thing, Hopkins doesn't want Dawson because he knows he would lose, not that I'm calling him afraid or anything because hes more then earned the right to fight anyone hes chooses, but I'm interested in hearing what his excuse is on why hes fighting Froch instead. He said that Dawson was a no name, is Froch a bigger name than Dawson?

He also said he didnt wanna ruin the career of another young undefeated guy.........that plus the constant changing of pick in the Pac/Hatton fight leads me to beleive that hes finally going senile.

Hopkins already said he would never fight Dawson because he doesn't want to defeat a rising undefeated star. Seeing as how he had no problem fighting Pavlik and now Froch, kinda makes you wonder, eh?
