Then you have other good wins that go un noticed, guys like William Joppy and Glen Johnson

Hopkins always looks for big challenges. He even flirted with going up to heavyweight! Hopkins ducks no man and fights everyone.

Mayweathers best wins were against DLH JUDAH HATTON CORRALES and Castillo. All solid fighters. Only one of those guys are hof locks.

Winky Wright, Felix Trinidad, and Oscar De La Hoya are all locks. Then some can argue Glen Johnson, Antonio Tarver, and MAYBE Kelly Pavlik (Assuming he gets 3-4 more great victories down the line) can be hall of famers.
The problem with your argument is that you value Hopkins' wins over DLH, Pavlik, Winky, and Trinidad as really special, but you overlook that Hopkins was the much bigger man in those fights. Everybody on this site right now is hating Floyd because he's fighting Marquez, a smaller man. That's the place where I seem imbalance.

Having a big mouth and drawing attention is one thing. Drawing attention and continuosly fighting the best is another. One man did it, another man hasn't.

HBO was going to move Adamek vs Hopkins away from July 18th to make room for a Floyd comeback....

Hopkins is a great fighter and undeniably one of the greatest of all time. But Look, Hopkins vs Calzaghe=Free HBO, Jones vs Calzaghe=HBO PPV.
Marquez vs Diaz=Free HBO, Marquez vs Mayweather=HBO PPV.

If he did not have such a big mouth would he be in such high demand? People watch Mayweather to see him get knocked out because of his attitude.

So are you a Floyd fan or a fan of boxing. Because fans of boxing want to see him take on the toughest opponents like Cotto, Williams and Mosely. Fans of Floyd want to see him make the biggest pay day.
