None of those guys would stoop to the level of fighting a fringe contender/journeyman type who was a one hit wonder, instead of the much more dangerous Margarito.Comment

You are right about that
But the difference is those 3 fighters you mentioned draw their audience based solely on their performances in the ring. With Floyd it's half a character showcase prior to the fight and inevitably him getting in the actual fight leaving a good majority of the crowd buying a PPV or ticket hoping the next man will beat him.
Pretty smart fellow if you ask me.Comment

against mostly smaller opposition. Mostly every bigger fighter does that, so whats the big deal?Comment

It takes TWO to tango.....
What dont you get???
There is NO MONEY in those fights......right now.
Mayweather fought Baldi for 8-10 million..........and did 400k PPVS.
He fought Oscar for 30 million and did over 2 million....the highest weve ever seen.
IT TAKES TWO TO TANGO.Comment

funny with all this baldo ppv talk. first off it was 325k on the ppv from what i remember, and furthermore the fight was so quiet on tv due to the fact that no one was there watching it. floyd is not all that as a draw ie. odlh, and hatton. he does ok, but lets be real. he is not a great draw, nor will he be if he has to sell a ppv on his own. the nuthuggin here is so pathetic, and elementary.Comment

Fringe contender/Journeyman=Lineal Champ, beat the #1 WW in the World(Zab Judah) to become number 1.
It was supposed to be Judah vs Mayweather but Mayweather instead fought both of them.
