    Keep in mind that:

Hopkins had Pavlik come up to 170
Hopkins had Winky come up to 170
    Hopkins beat Tito at 160
    Hopkins beat Goldie at 160
Oscar brought Forbes up to 150
    Shane fought a shot Vargas...twice
Pavlik is bringing Mora (MORA!!) up to 160.

What usually happens after a loss? Or a period of inactivity? You take a journeyman, or a smaller fighter. Usually, that smaller fighter is NOT an active champion, #2 p4p.
Great post but Mora usually fights at 160. He dropped down to fight Forrest.

Let's see.... Joe Louis, Henry Armstrong,Roberto Duran, George Foreman, Oscar De La Hoya to name a few. All great fighters, all faced supreme who's who type of opposition, all had lengthy careers.

The context of the post you were replying to was Floyd's claim that he is the greatest fighter of all time, better than Ali, SRR and SRL, better than Henry Armstrong, Willie Pep, Joe Louis, Jack Johnson, Harry Greb and Benny Leonard.

If any other boxer had said that it'd be taken with the usual pinch of salt

We all know Floyd is not an Ali or Robinson. Even us fans. There's no point debating it or using it as an issue to score points on

so what? there are weight classes for that purpose. you weigh in below the limit the day before and you're good to go. if you wanna *****, try being someone in life and try changing the rules of a sport practiced centuries ago. i'd be interested in seeing how far can you go
