froch is slow and has no defense... he'd get beat by the top 168 lbers (ie. Kessler)

Joe Calzaghe would beat most if not all of the guys that are active in the Supermiddle weight / Light Heavy divisions, so him beating Froch isn't anything out of the ordinary.

If Froch can beat Taylor he sure as hell can beat Sloppy Joe.

A Taylor KO win is better than anything Joe has ever done.

gotta agree with the article. Froch is exciting but he will get out-boxed by alot of fighters.

The idea that a fighter shouldn't call someone out just because they wouldn't be able to beat them is laughable. Where would the sport of boxing be without people fighting opponents who they aren't expected to beat. The problem with Froch calling out Calzaghe is not that he wouldn't beat him but that Calzaghe is retired.

this article hits the nail on the head perfect!! im from the uk and on saturdays fight i did not see greatness from his win but saw how his future is now limeted and that hes going to be on the floor alot more often in the future.. he has one solid feature which is his power but that isnt enough.. i thought he had a chin to go with it but im not so sure now as taylor is a ok puncher but theres much harder hitters out there who i now think would put his lights out.. they also 100% would have finished him off when he got back up off floor instead of dancing around like taylor did. froch's time is limeted and im sure his confidence was dented on saturday nite after being on the floor like that.. his style just isnt good enough to contend with top talent as he barley sc****d the win with taylor, he cant change his fighting over nite and every time he swings wide like a slow bar brawler against somone like kessler he will be on the floor. and pls stop talking **** about calzaghe as he would make you look ****** in a fight..

not really, calzaghe has mad stamina and will slap the **** outta froch

true... but that don't mean he'll beat calz.

I am far from being a Calzague fan. Besides his win over Kessler and exposing Jeff Lacy he fought and over the hill Roy Jones and a 44 year old Hopkins who almost beat him....All that having been said Calzague would outbox the **** out of Froch and win by UD....one word for Froch: Defense! If Taylor was able 2 drop him then the bigger punchers in the division will connect with some flush shots and he won't always get up!

                      Froch beating Calzaghe,no way!

No way,no how,not ever! Why,you might ask?I'll tell you why.Calzaghe only fights old lions past their prime.Calzaghe vs Hoppkins,Calzaghe vs Jones are the only victories on which that bum can lay claim to beating anyone of consequence. Those are fights that should have happened 4 or 5 years ago!But why didn't they happen?Hoppkins called him out,Jones just laughed at him.Sure he beat Jones(now that he's an old lion with no teeth),but hoppkins should have been given the nod for that fight, considering he was the only one doing the fighting.Say what you will about this posting, but the fact remains that Calzaghe would have never come to the U.S. to do what Froch did!Which is,cross the pond and take on a young in their prime fighter such as Taylor. Can anyone dispute that?I doubt it.
