Why doesn't Sven Ottke get as much Credit as Joe C. ?

Also whilst you are at it answer this one honestly (yeah, right): If Joe had fought and beaten Sven (I think he could have) would you or would you and other Joe fans NOT be hyping Sven up a great because of his record?

Hyping means comments like these which have been posted by Many Joe fans on these forums:

"Lacy was the next Mike Tyson"

"Kessler is a Great fighter"

"Roy Jones was old but so was Joe. Roy was in the best shape i've seen him in for over a decade. It was a great win"

Stuff like that. Taking a weak opponent or someone you wouldn't otherwise respect, and making him seem much better than he really is.

Joe fans hate Sven. Why? Sven was a good fighter. And I know that if Joe had fought and beaten Sven, Joe's fans would have called Sven great.

Sven Ottke should not be bashed by Joe's fans. It's sad and a tad bit hypocritical considering Joe's suppermiddleweight run before Lacy and Kessler.

well, i think Calzaghe is simply the superior fighter, skills-wise

his resume IS better than Ottke's

and he beat marquee names like Eubank, Hopkins, Jones Jr., Lacy and, yes, even Kessler was highly regarded at the time... so this built his name and put him in the spotlight

and Ottke's legacy is tainted by some of the robberies he got in his favour (rightly or wrongly)

Joe would of been the man to take the 0 from Sven. People already rate the Kessler win higher than Hopkins, Sven would of been his biggest accomplishment.

That is a famous quote talked about by Lacy fans before Lacy fought Joe, that is what was used, don't like Joe fans repeating it after the fight, get used to it.

He is, people wanted Joe to fight Kessler for ages, they were well ahead no1 and no2 in the division, lots of people said Kessler would beat Joe.

I have NEVER said it was a great win, unfair to stereotype some Joe fan quotes with mine.

Sven was a cheat, have you even seen some of his fights, they were a disgrace.

Sven should be bashed by ALL boxing fans, he was a disgrace, the one sidedness of the ref and judges were atrocious
