Why doesn't Sven Ottke get as much Credit as Joe C. ?

i didn't mean that; i meant that he must have been highly regarded to be considered to have such a good chance at beating Calzaghe
both Kessler and Calzgahe's SMW runs were under par considering their talent, but i don't think they are "****ty" in the grand scheme of things. some solid wins and they built a skeleton for a resume. They just lack flesh; which i believe Calzaghe did a fair job of adding with the little run towards the end
Joe and his camp should have taken more initiative and forced the big fights to come off sooner, for sure. The onus is on the person who needs the fight most. However i think some of the blame can be shared with a couple other people,
most people are not very respectful towards Sven... I think for British boxing fans the Reid robbery is a large part of it, a lot of people are still salty about that
Also i dont' think it was that Kessler was highly regarded. Everyone hated Joe C AND thought the style matchup was bad for him because he had not been tested.Comment

from what i recall Joe was still on his Lacy high thenComment

I have seen him fight. All he does is prance around in a turtle shell, throw a few pitty pat punches, then hold on for dear life. Its sickening.Comment

Not as silly as the ottke stuff but questionable just the same.Comment

See what I did there?Comment

I think it was close. It's debatable. I don't think that's a fight (much like the Bhop one) where anyone can take a clear stance. They are certainly interesting scoring challenges.Comment

Both fighters have similar resumes, Calzaghe edges it for unifying and just being more skilled and exciting to watch.Comment
