Floyd would've went from 135 to 147 for a championship fight? Who is he, Juan Manuel Marquez?

So let me ask you something than. As a boxing fan, not of any particular fighter but the sport, would you rather see a fighter hold out for the most money he can possibly get his money grubbing hands on? Or would you rather see him take on the toughest challenges when they're both at the top of their respective games?

Cotto was a draw but not compared to someone like Oscar at 154 or Hatton at 147. Oscar was a fighter he always wanted to fight and besides getting a boost in popularity for fighting Oscar, you get paid big time and can set yourself up on a boat for retirement. Unless you don't know how to handle your money and you think the combination of talking **** and “making it rain” will grow you money trees automatically. **** may help fertilize the soil, and money may be the seed to build upon a fortune, but you have to work that soil and keep those seeds in your garden (only) and carefully nurture them to grow healthy. If you let animals/pests into your garden and they rip up your soil and steal your seeds, you are **** out of luck. Fence up your garden to keep the animals out; plant the seeds in your soil and let it rain there...
But be kind and give back; but don't be ******. You can only work your soil and pick your garden so often before it dries up and you get left starving and have to move. Everything in moderation.

Just saying...I'm not sure why Floyd is really coming back: Is it Money trouble or the Will to fight?

Cotto vs. Mayweather Jr. would draw well now. Floyd is still going to go after Pac first unless Cotto vs. Pac gets setup by Arum...but, will Pac chose Cotto over Floyd and if Pac tells Arum to back the **** up, will Arum have to concede. However, if Pac loses to Hatton, Floyd can't sell a fight with Pac and then will have to fight Cotto or Mosley...but don't hold your breath because we may see Hatton vs. Floyd II in England.

I've heard that as well and maybe it is true, but like Floyd, Shane had his eyes on O$car...although I'm not sure on the timing and what's truth.

Just saying: Who are you going to fight...Floyd or O$car?

I'm gonna hold my breathe because I'd rather suffocate then to see Hatton-Mayweather 2. Hatton will not face Mayweather this soon because he's not ready to get rid of Floyd Sr. I don't care what Floyd Sr says, HE WILL NOT TRAIN SOMEONE TO BEAT UP HIS SON. Hatton will beat Pac(remember where you heard it first) and Mayweather will Destroy JMM. Then The Losers will fight each other in their Pac-JMM 3 Trilogy. Hatton will then be pressured by Golden Boy to fight Sugar Shane Mosley this Fall, NOT PBF. This will Mess up PBF's plans to get the Hatton-Pac winner Altogether, so Floyd go and fight Cotto-Clottey winner this Fall. After Floyd beats Cotto-Clottey winner, he will then fight the Hatton-Mosley winner. Trust me PBF will be keeping his fingers crossed that Hatton wins. HE WANTS NO PART OF SSM

And those that come off long layoffs don't always look their best upon their return. You want to fight someone good, but not too good or at least not to big and strong where they can force you to fight hard and might take you the distance which you may not last. Shane is a very strong fighter with a good chin who can apply heavy pressure. Not someone you want to face upon your return from a layoff. This fight with JMM can also help Floyd understand where he is not only physically, but mentally as a fighter since sometimes, after you retire and comeback, that motivation/will/heart might not be as strong as it once was...thus the reason why you see aging fighters and inactive fighters more likely to give up when they wouldn't have when they were younger and active.

That's why they say "Inactivity" kills.

I don't mind the tune-up but I do want to see him fight Cotto or Mosley at some point.

Mosley could have fought him when Floyd was active but he didn't.

And isn't Mosley targeting the winner of Hatton vs. Pac?

Ray Leonard went up in weight and fought Marvin Hagler after a 3 year layoff.

                What is your point?

By forcing a smaller fighter to move up, he's giving himself a big advantage he wouldn't have against Mosley.
                      time to get educated.

Floyd called Mosley out when Mosley was in his prime and was p4p#1 AND was 2 weight classes above him. So now that Mosley is only a shell of his former self, Floyd would be scared of him? lol.

BTW, Mosley turned Floyd down TWICE and I think the reasons were he had a tooth ache and he wanted to go on vacation with his family. I'm not sure about the second reason but I am sure about the tooth ache excuse.
