Why doesnt PBF fight Mosley at 147 in July?

Mosley just came off a huge win. Mosley is also free this summer.

I know JMM is real marketable right now and kicking ass at 135 but I just dont see him being much a threat to PBF. He aint going to outbox PBF and he isnt going to be able to war with him. PBF does everything he does better, and is faster and bigger.

Mosley is a real 147 pounder and the fight would be extremely marketable. Plus Mosley is with goldenboy promotions and it would be an easy fight to make cause PBF and DLH are cool unlike Arum who has issues with PBF.

I would rather this fight gets made.

Mayweather will not fight Mosley because he's still very good and he's the about the same size.

Floyd wants to play it safe, and only fight opponents he has a reach advantage over.

By forcing a smaller fighter to move up, he's giving himself a big advantage he wouldn't have against Mosley.

i agree he is fighting someone who was ranked as a super feather only 12 months ago, and he wants it at welter? lol and mayweather fans have the cheek to moan when people question floyd. Why doesnt he fight collazo, spinks, or williams, even nate campbell is a bigger and stronger man than jmm, why not fight campbel.

He still never fought Margarito, Mosley did and won. Who's Floyd fighting next, Emmanuel Lewis at 145?

Anybody forget the fact that Floyd is coming off a long layoff?
And those that come off long layoffs don't always look their best upon their return. You want to fight someone good, but not too good or at least not to big and strong where they can force you to fight hard and might take you the distance which you may not last. Shane is a very strong fighter with a good chin who can apply heavy pressure. Not someone you want to face upon your return from a layoff. This fight with JMM can also help Floyd understand where he is not only physically, but mentally as a fighter since sometimes, after you retire and comeback, that motivation/will/heart might not be as strong as it once was...thus the reason why you see aging fighters and inactive fighters more likely to give up when they wouldn't have when they were younger and active.

That's why they say "Inactivity" kills.

I don't mind the tune-up but I do want to see him fight Cotto or Mosley at some point.

Mosley could have fought him when Floyd was active but he didn't.

And isn't Mosley targeting the winner of Hatton vs. Pac?

I seriously hope this fight happens. I hope JMM-PBF falls through. Id like to see JMM fight Hatton regardless of the outcome of the pac-hatton fight. I think the style contrast would be interesting.

You know PBF-Mosley could get made easy, you know PBF has DLH's cell number, call the mofo up and tell him you want a real challenge at 147.
