Even though a sharp, aggressive Floyd could dispatch Hatton any day, i bet the fight would be a lot closer if the ref actually called thrown elbows and ducking below the waist and Floyd is rusty.

Who isnt chasing money? Fighters fight tough fights to get to the top, when they are there its about making money, this is boxing, fighters want to leave with their senses and be able to count their money. Gatti sounds punchy, gave the fans all of those classics, for what, how many times does Gatti's name get brought up on this board, you fight for yourself and nobdy else.

Actually I did a lot of complaining about this fight. Problem was I was wrong in my assessment. I figured it to be a mismatch in favor of Oscar. Difference in this fight is, the younger fighter is also the much bigger fighter.

This is all fine and good. But don't claim he's the best if he isn't beating the best fighters at his weight. And don't say its a legacy fight and not about money when its clearly about money.

And since you brought up Gatti, Gatti is loved by the fans for the challenges he took and he didn't have a tenth of the talent of Mayweather.

How far does love get you, especially when your mental faculties start to decline. Many people that loved his classics refer to him as a bum now, sad but true. Floyd is the best because he can go through 5 weight classes and beat champions, yes he has done that. Why do people forget where 85% of Floyd's fights took place. Would you give Cotto credit if he beat a Jean Pascal or a good fighter at 168 which would be his fifth class or would you discredit him by saying well he hasnt fought Calzaghe, Taylor or Kessler?

He'll be 36 by the time this fight comes off and spent the majority of his career at 126. He's had 2 fights at 135. None at 140 or 47. He's giving up almost two inches in height and another 5 or 6 inches in reach. Floyd doesn't have an ounce of fat on him at this weight and is acclimated here. Like I said.....much bigger.

If Spinks wins his next fight he would be a good warm up, then fight Pac if he wins or Mosley or Cotto.

I dont look at age so much with Marquez yet, because he is quick and has good relexes, that hasnt slowed down. Also from people I've known that met Floyd say he is closer to 5'7 than 5'8, he looks more 5'7 to me. Reach dont win fights, skill and smarts do. Marquez has that. If Marquez isnt complaing about the fight why is everybody else? Shows what little faith they have in him.
